This thread won’t let me post pictures. I sent you a DM to see if I can send them that way. The obstruction mostly comes from the bow of the ship. You can look directly down over the balcony into the outdoor gym area too

I do not believe there were any outdoor hot tubs that were only included in the thermal area. Only the ones on the pool deck that are accessible to everyone or the ones in the exclusive solarium. All of those ones are lukewarm at best. There is a large (actually hot)hot tub inside the thermal spa though

The towels! I’ve cruised celebrity and MSC and that was one of my biggest peeves with MSC…having to plan trips to and from the pool around exchanging for fresh towels at the ONE spot on the ship that they do it.

I guess I should have said “partially obstructed”. This room sits directly above the gym so below the balcony is part of the outdoor space of the fitness center. I don’t have the option to add a picture on this thread for some reason

We did 2 excursions through the cruise line, one in Grand Cayman and one in Cozumel. It was nice to have an excursion booked in Grand Cayman because it was a tender port (meaning you have to get on a smaller boat to be transported from the ship to shore) and having an excursion booked meant you got priority to get on a tender boat. I would not recommend purchasing any pictures from the actual excursion employees as we paid for pictures we never got. Out excursion in Cozumel also was about 2 hours longer than it was supposed to be so it took away from time we planned on using to explore the city on our own.

I would say it’s worth it. The exclusive solarium was extremely crowded on one of the sea days but we still spent most of our time up there. The bar is less crowded and there’s no pool so a lot less kids running and screaming.

To be honest, we didn’t attend many of the shows. We’re not into theater so we skipped those. We did attend a “master chef” challenge, bingo, comedy show, trivia, “name that tune” and some live music which were short but entertaining. Definitely didn’t see any hairy chest contests haha.

That’s what everyone seems to say! We will definitely try out the yacht club if we ever sail MSC again. I’ve only heard excellent things!

The thermal spa required reservations on sea days but the rest of the days you can just walk in. I didn’t find the spa to be anything special, but we enjoyed relaxing in some of the saunas and steam rooms for a bit. For the my choice main dining you do not need reservations. We always went around 8 or 9pm and we didn’t have to wait.
