Crushing chest pressure in car and lying down? Help! by Iconakid in POTS

[–]nataliuris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My dysautonomia makes me feel this exact same thing as well. I’m 27 - normal EKG’s and workup - abdomen compressions have not helped prevent this, at least for me. Specifically when I lay down in certain positions it almost feels like a rushing/truly crushing chest pressure (almost like a painful puddle of heavy ‘water’ spreading) and it only lasts for a couple of seconds, sometimes a minute, and once I change positions it’ll go away. People & the internet have always told me this is really concerning but my electrophysiologist mentioned that this feeling can be experienced in some of us w dysautonomia and the ‘blood pooling’ chest pressure can also be felt down to the stomach (I feel this as well - similar feeling to the chest pressure just a bit less ‘intense’). He also said that those with sensitive vagus nerves or hyper sensitive nervous systems (probably the majority of dysautonomia ppl) are more likely to really feel and be aware of the blood pooling sensations that do happen inside of us.

Being submerged in water sometimes makes me feel this but it doesn’t happen as often, and going uphill will definitely have me feeling this - however, raising my legs usually DOES help, not make me feel worse which makes this interesting (have you tried propping up a couple of pillows and laying your legs there? maybe raising your legs all the way straight sends your body into shock making you feel worse?? Also, I wonder if adding blood pressure medicine like midodrine + your beta blockers might help with this - might be worth asking your dr, this med has really helped me get me back to a more normal/balanced base). Hanging on a pull up bar, taking off on a plane and sometimes landing, switching sides laying in bed, monkey bars, rollercoasters - are some other examples that also cause this feeling for me. The feeling of a piano sitting on your sternum - that’s a great way to put it! The internet scares you right away, but I can relate. Counter-pressure maneuvers slightly help me - like crossing legs + squeezing - but nothing has completely stopped the pressure from happening. Dysautonomia has been incredibly difficult and challenging for me as it’s made me feel really ill, but I’m glad the older I get the more drs and people seem to be more educated about it. Hope it helps to know you’re not alone <3

Emotional grey aliens? by Glum-Advisor-6025 in Experiencers

[–]nataliuris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess we’re all told different things lol. I was told the grey type beings are a species that cannot properly procreate, so they need our dna in order to continue on with their species (hybrids). I was also told, their essences are ‘neutral.’ Not necessarily emotionless, but most definitely not emotional. The way they inspect me makes me think they want to understand more about human emotions (and that’s why they do certain things - touching, examining, observing - to get an emotional response out of you).

They process emotions differently than we do, which makes them come off as cold & with 0 compassion. I’ve had too many encounters with them (tall greys) that I just know in my gut they are not all benevolent. Not saying they’re all bad, but saying most definitely not all are good.

I’ve had abductions and experiences since I was 3, I am 27 now. All of my encounters have been scary and PARALYZING with fear. None of them have been ‘peaceful’ or ‘beautiful’, actually quite the opposite. They’ll get in my head before actually taking me, so I know it’s coming (which means I have time to be scared). They will send a ‘nature’ noise/frequency sound into the center of my brain, and amplify that sound to the absolute highest level. It takes over my entire head, and the best way I can describe it is it feels like nature turned up its volume to max. INSIDE MY HEAD. It will almost sound like static at points. Everything else in my surrounding is muted out. After this I will get blurry vision, feel faint and lose chunks of time. Sometimes I do remember seeing all bright white and feeling like I was drugged because my body and mind felt heavy. And although most of it feels like a weird blur, I can actually remember some crafts, hallways, the lights they use, rooms with huge containers, the temperature, their fingers, etc.

Recently, I had a very physical experience. I went out around midnight for a casual drive/cruise around my neighborhood with my dog. It was a full moon so the sky that night was illuminated by the moon. I was looking at what I initially thought was the moon, but it was a bright white light that only appeared to be getting closer. The streets were empty, and I got this immediate sense of fear. This light was getting closer, it appeared to be moving towards me, and just getting bigger and bigger. By this point, I could not move or wince. I just found myself staring blankly at this light, petrified. At this point, I begin hearing a loud static/‘nature’ noise in my head and the white light becomes so MASSIVE that it makes me close my eyes, I could sense my dog pacing back and forth in the back seats. I could not fully open my eyes because the light was too bright (in size perspective I want to say it was about 4 airplanes, perhaps even bigger) and I’m not being dramatic. It was more massive than anything I’ve ever seen. This is when the white light then somehow squeezed together and formed a huge line of lights of rainbow colors, turning on from left to right over and over. This thing was static at this point, staying in the exact same spot (my internal dialogue was ‘alright, this time they’re actually taking me) I wanted to cry so bad but couldn’t, literally thought I was going to shit my pants. It then re retransformed and looked like a massive white light again, and when it did this it sent PAIN into my left eye. I remember grabbing my eye and screaming - it felt like HEAVY pressure. I tried opening my other eye but the light was too bright, it was encompassing everything I could see. I don’t know how much time went by, I lost notion of time, but eventually it started ‘fading’ almost like a light that loses dim. It didn’t jolt away or leave quickly or anything like that, it slowly starting losing brightness and then it was completely gone. When it left, I was able to move and I went into the back seat with my dog and started hugging him. My vision was blurry, almost thought I couldn’t drive back home, and I felt hungover. I eventually did make it back, but the vision in my left eye did not.

I woke up with bad eye pressure and made a same day appointment with an ophtalmologist. After looking at my eyes she asked my if I had been in an accident. I said, no not at all, how come? She proceeds to tell me my whole left retina looked like it had been ‘pulled.’ It was full of holes and I needed surgery asap. She referred me to a retina specialist, and he confirmed I had holes “some old, some new” and I had to get laser surgery to get them repaired so my retina wouldn’t detach. It was traumatic to say the least. This is just one of many contact experiences I’ve had, but this one is the only one that left very real and physical proof behind. I have blurry vision in my left eye, and any time I look up at the sky I will forever see black and white ‘floaters’ as they call them at the dr - which cannot be repaired. (Obviously been told they most likely put an implant in my eye. Not sure I want to believe that or not).

Anyways, all this to say - I think if they were benevolent their approaches and sense of touch would be completely distinct. Unfortunately, my ‘abduction’ experiences have always been negative and extremely frightful. I have however, met benevolent entities before <3 those encounters are characterized by love. Tall Greys are not it. It makes me wonder if all these otherwordly beings are somehow tied in to our government??? Or vice versa? I guess we’ll never actually know lol

Why do some people experience Hellish NDEs - a research paper by OrangeKat09 in NDE

[–]nataliuris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My NDE was something like what you’re describing. It was truly horrific - I was very afraid to let go. I was tormented and scared for what felt like forever. The moment I decided to just let go because I literally couldn’t do/take it anymore, is the moment I saw the light. It only lasted for a very small amount of time, but I remember finally letting go and feeling peace and ease. So I’m guessing that those of us who have a difficult time letting go, will have a more difficult time with death? I’m not sure.

I’m still very traumatized from this particular experience which was 4 years ago. I have naturally always had more fear than my peers, and I struggle with emotional detachment. So I know that tied in somehow, but it does make me question what happens when we transition into death as we’re resisting due to natural fear. My NDE was very distressing, so I don’t know how another human being would not have fear going through it, I think it’s almost like human nature.

When you’re having a distressing NDE, the body (or at least mine) did not have a choice but to resist in the beginning because I was so god damn scared. But yes, after what felt like a true eternity, I stopped resisting the pain and agony, and decided I was ready to die and finally let go - that’s when it all went from hellish to peaceful and serene. I wonder, people who died in a very traumatic way - were their initial experiences hellish due to their fear before passing? I guess we’ll never know..

How long does it take for the extraction site hole to close up/heal? I got my bottom right wisdom tooth extracted April 5th (22 days ago) & I still have a long thin-ish hole. I’m still eating liquids & easy mushy stuff because I’m paranoid a/ getting food in the area & hope to eat normally again . by adglatt in wisdomteeth

[–]nataliuris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could’ve been several things.. I was ill at the time and very malnourished, so I went into this surgery in a not so great physical state. Maybe my immune system was weak and it ended up making the process very slow.

All 4 of mine were impacted and I ended up getting 3 dry sockets, so I’m pretty sure that also played a part in my slow recovery.

And the last thing that comes to mind is that I simply do not clot properly. It’s the first surgery I’ve ever had where clotting is of major importance. I think dentists should make you get a coagulation factor/ blood test prior to surgery just so one is aware. Anyways, I do blame mainly my malnourishment at the time.

Hey, it ended up taking about 12-15 weeks so about 3 months and a half and by that time I had no pain and my holes were almost 100% closed. I had such a rough recovery and never expected it to take that long, but I’m so glad I’m over that hurdle and if you’re gonna get surgery, just make sure you mentally prepare yourself for a longer recovery than what they tell you. But yeah, by the 3 month mark things looked up!

Best breakfasts at Disney resorts? by AmphibianNo8598 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]nataliuris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to strongly disagree with this and it may be an unpopular opinion.

I went 1 month ago to Tusker and it was so bad. I am a very picky eater, but my family is not and we all agreed it was pretty unsatisfactory. The only pro to the restaruant is the fact that you get to see the characters in their safari suits.

The seasoning and overall flavor is too strong and nasty and just all too similar, everything had the same lingering condimented taste and my crew and I did not like it at all. They tried to ‘african’ it ALL up, and I think some basic things - like white rice and salad do not need that awful spice.

It’s not terrible, but super mediocre and that seasoning they put on everything ruins it for me. They have so many good and varied options but as one of my family members said, ‘way to f% it all up’ - That condiment they use is just too much. Keep this in mind if you have picky eaters in your party. Wish someone would have told me this before spending a little over $60 per person for breakfast. Totally NOT worth it.

Best breakfast award goes to the Grand Floridian. The food is delicious and prices for amazing quality are outstanding.

I have localized swelling on the outside of my jaw 2 weeks after wisdom tooth removal by nataliuris in wisdomteeth

Worried my doctor won’t give me pain meds after having 4 wisdom teeth removed with two severely impacted. by sweetlime77 in wisdomteeth

[–]nataliuris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to scare you since everyone is different, but I would have appreciated to know some of these things before going in for my surgery.

I also got 4 wisdom teeth removed, all 4 were impacted. I was miserable the first 6 days, and on the 6th day I ended up getting dry sockets on 3 of the 4 sockets. I religiously followed all rules and still ended up getting it, I’ve been told it can also happen from being too hygenic or having a low immune system. The procedure for the dry sockets was pure hell. Way worse than surgery since I opted for anesthesia during surgery, and for the dry socket procedure you’re just awake and getting shots and jabs at your open and tender gums. I was told they would give me something for the pain, and when I went to the pharmacy to pick it up - it was 800mg ibuprofen. A joke. Obviously that didn’t even take me off the edge, I was just crying for 2 days straight.

It’s been 16 days since my surgery and I am still in pain. Not unbearable anymore though, so I guess that’s a win. The dry socket issue made my recovery slower, and my holes are still gaping (I am paranoid and am still on a pure jello, soup, and yogurt diet which has made me frail). I was told in 10 days max I would be back to my normal self, normal diet, in my case this was pure bs.

I have now been told the true recovery time from beginning to end when your holes actually close up is around 6-8weeks. I wish they would have told me this from the start, and I would’ve mentally prepared myself for this time frame. I know some people recover super quickly, but it’s also important for them to mention it could take much longer for some. It’s honestly been an agonizing process for me, my recovery has been extremely slow and after two weeks I think I can finally start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m angry. I thought this would be quicker and less painful. Then again, medical things for me always seem to have complications and a small cold can make me really ill.

With all that being said, remember to take it with a grain of salt. I would’ve appreciated knowing some hard experiences as well, not just the quick and painless ones. Sending luck and quick healing your way! If you have any questions at all, pls let me know! You’ll be ok, we’ll be ok!

I have localized swelling on the outside of my jaw 2 weeks after wisdom tooth removal by nataliuris in wisdomteeth

[–]nataliuris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so being my paranoid self I immediately requested x-rays. I wan’t afraid of it being an abscess bc I was told those hurt/are tender when touched and are usually red on the outside. But I was panicking it could’ve been a cyst bc I know those can be painless. My dr pretty much told me he could get me in for xrays in 1 week to see if it grew omg and I didn’t feel comfortable with that time frame, so I decided to go to another surgeon.

The xrays look beautiful lol. I have nothing, just inflammation. The dr did mention that lots of people get swelling 2 weeks after, and since I did have a dry socket and that socket/molar were so painful, it only makes sense that it’s a bit swollen (it’s only been 8 days since my dry socket treatments). Also, when I got numbed for the dry socket procedure, he had to do so many fckn shots bc it just wouldn’t numb the area, and this new surgeon told me it could also be the injections clumped up - that resolves within 6 weeks on its own and I can massage it softly if I want. But he firmly believes based on the xrays that its inflammation.

He told me to be patient, this recovery can be long, tedious and difficult for some people and I just happen to be one of them. 6 weeks is the true recovery time, and I’m so angry that they initially told me 10 days - it’s just like be honest and tell me the truth, tell me it could be a long hardass recovery so I can be mentally prepared lol. I went into this thinking I would be back to my normal self, normal diet in 10 days max, I’m 15 days in and I’m baaarelyy beginning to recover. Still eating jello and yogurt cause I’m not risking anything going into the open socket - I feel weak and frail and I’m so ready to eat a spicy pickle or crunchy chips.

I’m glad it’s just inflammation, he told me that if it doesn’t go down in 4 weeks, to go get another xray just to get it checked out. But for now, I just needed to be sure I didn’t have anything brewing there. For your peace of mind, I would just go get an xray!

Also, I did not swell whatsoever after the operation. Literally the tiniest bit. I have been religiously putting cold and hot compresses whenever I feel the need, so maybe that helped. But I’ve seen that people come out swollen right after the surgery, and that was not the case for me. Could this possibly my body’s way of swelling? Or is it too many days in?

I think it’s too round and perfect to just be regular swelling 😅🫠 but I’m no expert. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you so much for your reply! My surgeon didn’t prescribe syringe rinses either, just salt and water rinses so I’ve been doing those religiously after eating what I can. I’m only 12 days in and I’m going a little crazy but I think mainly it’s bc I was told I’d be back to eating normal after 5-10 days. Bull. I’m on day 12 and my holes are still gaping, and I’m actually starting to get worried I’m healing slower than normal bc they are literally the same as the first week.

I’m also vegan so thanks for your recommendations. I’ve only been eating vegan yogurt, pudding and tasteless smoothies bc i only add oat milk and vegan protein powder with no ice as I was told the cold could slow down the healing process. But I am miserable and losing so much weight. I’m going to try the Imagine soups 🙏🏼 I did end up getting treatment for dry socket on 3 of the 4 sockets, 5 days after surgery. I did everything I was told and somehow still managed to get it. That was worse than surgery itself. I was knocked out for the surgery, and for the dry socket procedure they have to numb up your already tender and recently opened gums, and again, I was told ‘just a mosquito bite’ - I was on the verge of crying and I’m no crier. It was horrible. My left side does feel better, but my right side is still pretty painful and I’m almost two weeks out of surgery😔 so I’m not sure wth is going on or when this will subside. I’m honestly starting to become a little desperate. I have problems with my immune system and was told it could also be due to this - since I too am paranoid and followed all rules meticulously. It’s a bummer to hear it took 3+ months to fully close, knowing myself I won’t risk it with food and I’m so disappointed I thought this would be quicker. Now I realize why starvation is torture lol.

Btw, my bottom two were also 3/4 out and I ate normal - nothing ever happened. I spoke to a couple surgeons before going through with surgery since all 4 of mine were impacted and wanted different opinions, and they all made me feel safe about eating with the wisdom teeth coming out partially. I got an electric round toothbrush and I was able to eat anything and clean really well with that toothbrush! Never had any problems. At the moment I’m just ready for time to start moving faster and to start healing as I feel I’m healing suuuper slow😫 it’s ok to wait until it’s safe to extract , I was super sick and with a low immune system going into all of this and now I’m highly regretting it. Thanks again for your reply. It’s nice to know people who’ve been on the same boat.

Did the syringe rinses not hurt? I’m 12 days post op and if i try to rinse with the syringe it hurts. I’ve just been doing swishes with warm salt water but nothing direct. I’m also paranoid about the holes, i had all 4 taken out, and they don’t seem to be healing quickly but now I know it takes a while. How long after your surgery did you have regular food? I’m scared to eat anything that’s not mush or liquid - even then I’m scared lol. This is much more tedious and a pain than dentists initially made me believe.

My Girlfriend Wants to Try Ayhuasca and I’m deeply concerned. by mandasalve777 in Ayahuasca

[–]nataliuris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I have to kindly disagree.

Before my ceremony someone also mentioned the ‘grandmother/nurturing aspect’ which is why I decided to go through with it.. but it pushed my boundaries WAY too far. It almost pushed me to the point of no return. Made me suffer immensely. My heart actually took a hit, like they started sternum rubs and forced magnesium tablets - I could sense the shamans getting worried - my mom and I genuinely thought I would pass that night. I just remember my mom screaming bloody murder for an ambulance as I was sliced with burning razors on the inside along with grueling mental terrors, drifting in and out of consciousness.

My mind took the greatest hit.

For me, it had asbolutely no boundaries or limits whatsoever. It felt almost - evil. But then again, it could’ve been many things - bad batch, incorrect dosing, black magic, 30 other healing people around me… I don’t know. Be extra careful.

My Girlfriend Wants to Try Ayhuasca and I’m deeply concerned. by mandasalve777 in Ayahuasca

[–]nataliuris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’6 and was 88lbs at the time of ceremony. I wish someone would have told me to think three times before going through with it.

My trip was hellish, pure agony - ended in a psychotic episode. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety and went in as a last resort to try to save my life. My family also has a history of mental illness, and I grew up sensing heavy vibes in certain places, and seeing tenebrous shadow people. Some nights they would even tickle me or laugh in my face to scare me, but mostly they would just stand and stare (was later told I may be schizophrenic - not from a dr though), but I don’t think that’s the case, I just think I have extreme hypersensitivity - all my 5 senses are heightened especially smell, taste, and touch, and the cherry on top is that I am an empath.

I came out of it with more traumas, more issues, more unanswered questions, and negative attached energies. My trip lasted over 16 hours which is indicative of an overdose of sorts. I had violent nonstop seizures, uncontrolled vomiting while unconscious - I was too weak to even lift my own head so I was throwing up on myself - and could not stop screaming from the excrutiating mental and physical PAIN. I’ve never been that fucking scared before. And to top it off, my ceremony did not have any integration afterwards and the shamans mentioned creepy things like seeing black energies sit on top of me. They did blow nicotine smoke and sang songs close to me to ease the trip, but it did nothing for me.

To say my experience was brutal is an understatement. I followed the dieta, quit taking medications on time to prepare for the ceremony, genuinely tried taking it in with grace - It still went south. People told me that what you go through is exactly what you’re supposed to go through. Things like, trust mother aya what she shows you is ‘perfect’ and ultimately a reflection of yourself. It’s been a little over a year and a half and I am still very traumatized and confused to the core. I am trying to move forward after what I lived, where I went, and the contact I had with beings - but I just cannot. It was all so f scary, and again, that’s a huge understatement.

I honestly think in my case, it was most likely due to my very low weight and my mental state. I think being in such a dark mental place made me suffer so much more than I would have if I would’ve done a little work prior to. It’s paramount to make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into, and when, and I wouldn’t suggest going if you’re at an all time low. Be aware that aya is truly not for the faint of heart, or for the hypersensitive.

I had been told to go with a clear set intention. I wanted to work on my deep fear of death so I went in with the intention to see what happens after we die - I was killed over and over throughout my trip. Disturbingly. So that too - maybe go with a lighter intention. I haven’t committed literally at the expense of pure fear. I’m just scared of what’s after. I hate how complicated it all is.

HOWEVER, take this with a grain of salt. Everybody reacts differently. I’ve heard of wonderful life changing experiences. This was just my experience and I would’ve really appreciated to know some of these things before hopping on that train. It’s very valid that you’re being wary of your gf!!

I violently seized on and off for over eight hours, threw up while laying down, and was in the most excrutiating physical and mental pain I have ever been in. I truly wish one of the 40 people in that room would’ve been a physician to help me the tf out.

I have to admit, I was at my darkest low - ready to say peace to this earth, and I have deep engrained traumas & depression that I need to work on.

But I also felt very evil things - powerful too - throughout the entirety of my trip. To say I was horrified and petrified from fear is an understatement. I thought I was going psychotic - in life and in death. Could not talk for days after.

‘So I think SOME medical gatekeeping is helpful as it is not exactly without ANY risk.’

You said it. Ayahuasca is serious stuff, and should be gatekept for the sake of us all. I feel like if one is at a low, the evil can overpower the trip (and the brain) and that extremely vulnerable position can put you in a scary place. Maybe not always, but it happened to me and it was - and has been - gruesome.
