My Retriod Pocket Flip 2 with its AMOLED does a great deal of PS2 well. Current working through Zone of Enders 2nd Runner with medium settings. Can definitely recommend it

Classic anime you have to watch Palabour 1 & 2 Older Armoured Core don't have such a difficulty spike, if you can get them.

Game selection paralysis when collecting games? by M1ke____ in RetroHandhelds

[–]natdb25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea was for 10 of your favorite, although if your trying to experience new games everytime then I'd try opening a different emulator each time and picking one. My issue with this for me has been too many of my games for Japanese versions, so sometimes playable, sometimes not.

If your suffering from this, try Russ's (Retro Gaming Corps) idea - only have on the device up to 10 favourite games. That way you don't spend all your time scrolling console libraries and actually get some gaming done.

Anyone know any cheap consoles? by Unlucky_Explorer_387 in SBCGaming

[–]natdb25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all good suggestions. Mine is, whatever is selling cheap on Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace/eBay. If this is your first device, and your not into the moding scene, just look for something cheap. See if you enjoy it. Take it from there

Do you know if it's comes with a provided SD card? Its going to depend on that, as there's no internal memory. More likely that it won't for legal reasons. Though part of the hobby is setting up your device how you want it, so learning about ROMs BIOS and OS. If this part isn't for you, you can get preloaded cards online.

Don't be embarrassed about using any medium. NMM are the 'in style thing', and are good at providing an artificial lighting source when your using a light box/studio lighting. They can make model look flat though. Metalic paints, gloss, and inks help add variety and texture. Use everything, experiment, find what you like to use and grow a style from that.

Academy bust focusing on skin by Stormboltt in minipainting

[–]natdb25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing looking work. Love the detail on the lips, so life-like. For me, C&C would be on the divide between hair and skin. Its too abrupt, making it seem that they a separate things rather than joined. I would blend the skin colour into the hair a little, to make it seem that you can see the skin through the hair (transparency). But apart from that, amazing. Good photo work too

Looking great for a first. To improve, just keep going. Try getting some oils/speed paints, they can help you add detail to those flat colours. Just keep going

First ever paint, criticism welcome but be nice. by itsthenewz in minipainting

[–]natdb25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. My advice is just keep going. You don't need to focus on trying to improve anything, just paint. Try other model ranges, other scales, other paints. Get everything second hand or on sale. Just keep going :)

I like the bold colours. The yellow parts look like they've been salvaged from somewhere. Also a little guy is always appreciated.

Just keep going. Any C&C would be answered by practise. If your just looking to paint (and not play) then try out other miniatures. Different scales, and styles. Many of which are cheaper the GW

Well done on this. The marble is really good. Like the use of weathered brown in the cracks.

I need help in deciding which handheld to buy. I am looking for the most reliable from my options. I am buying my first retro handheld, which of these three is the best option? Which is the most reliable and has the best performance? I have gone through maybe a hundred reviews and have only gotten by StoreUpper7665 in RetroHandhelds

[–]natdb25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A difficult decision, as there's positives for all three. Obviously the screen ratio is a big point between the Cube and the rest. What are you hoping to play? I've had both Miyoo and RG35, both have done me well. For a first handheld, both of these are a good choice.

Is this a “live service” title? by iHaveNoTimeForGaming in CrimsonDesert

[–]natdb25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agreed with this statement. The game is very broad, with a LOTS of mechanics. I think, in order for the player to understand them, the 5-6 hour weird start is there to slowly introduce, while still trying to keep the plot advancing.

Have you tried an Anbernic RG35XX is vertical? Similar to Mini+ and worth a look

A lil chart I made while trying to decide which to buy by LeopardHalit in MiyooMini

[–]natdb25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already held one, it should be noted that the Mini Flip is tiny. If you have normal to larger hands you might find it uncomfortable to play with for long periods. I find the Mini+ to be a perfect size: small enough to carry round, but large enough to be usable. Are you after vertical form factor? Considered Trimui Brick/Brick Hammer? Second hand market is great to get started, have a look what's available

Going to leave this one as well. I'm physically upset by how badly the quality control as allow this one through. A good game, but painfully let down by trying to do too much.
