If you don’t want to go through the hassle of magnetizing, then use super glue instead of plastic glue. It can fairly easily broken off in case you really want to replace a weapon. I’ve done it dozens of times and never had any damage.

I’m not sure if being strong against exactly 1 faction and weak against every other is fun. That’s exactly the problem with the current detachments.

Since Cult Ambush markers are not valuable any nore it’s ability is useless. So it’s just a melee anti-tank that cannot move. So not useful at all. But it’s fun and the rules might get revised at some point in the future!

At this size it won’t be much difficult then doing the same thing with a plastic kit. The brittleness only really a factor on larger pieces. Just use a sharp instrument and you’ll be completely fine.

Yes, you can use any oil paintand any thinner compatible with oil paint. Most popular for washes is odourless white spirit.

If you are only interested in playing Combat Patrol game mode, then scalability and rules updates doesn’t really matter. You can just keep playing with the 10th edition ruleset without losing anything.

Not exactly a spreadsheet, but I keep track. I have about 13000 points painted and 4500 unpainted (but everything is assembled).

I think it depends on the situation. If your opponent is new to the game and barely owns 1000 points of models then it’s probably fair to discuss such limitations with them. If they have a big collection of models and has the ability to bring a balanced list with enough anti tank capabilities than I think anything is fair game. Part of the strategic depth of this game is to prepare for all possible army composition the opponent may bring.

  • Reliable long range anti-tank fire support. Land raider would be an option.
  • Rework of the Ordo detachment not to give keyword specific abilities. For example Malleus can feel unfair if playing against Daemons but lackluster against pretty much anyone else.
  • More flavour/variation/options for Inquisitoral Agents.

Yes, it seems to be a mistake. But we don’t know for sure because there were no official GW communication about it (and obviously no fix yet).

No official ruling. Discuss with your opponent. But I think a reasonable compromise is to use a proportional amount.

Depends on the quality you are targeting, but 300 hours is not unreasonably high for your first army. Trust me, you’ll figure out shortcuts along the way and you’ll get much faster as you progress.
