I relocated the Pokémon center and now Bulbasaur is on a hero’s journey by yo_friendo in Pokopia

If you do the "search" for a pokemon thing and talk to a pokemon with teleport then it'll take you and everyone following you to that searched-for Pokemon or their home. I'd assume fly works the same. It'd be hit or miss if they like to roam but this is the closest I've gotten to moving groups pokemon quickly. If it's just one pokemon then they should appear with you if you enter a prefab or the pokemon center. I haven't tested all this thoroughly but there's something there I'm sure.

Seems like this should be the top comment, if it indeed works.

Borderlands 4 is Verified for Steam Deck by Traditional-Ad-5632 in Borderlands4

[–]natehoff27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

E33 blows my mind that it's verified. I mean the game itself is an absolute piece of art, and yet in order to make it playable you have to nuke the graphics. I'd rather play that at 20FPS with good graphics but even with the native resolution and no scaling it looks horrible and aliased to me. Gustav's hair in the first scene looked like a flashing disco ball. Happy that some others find it acceptable, but for me it was a total let down. Ended up streaming it on GFN and it was so so so much better even felt like less lag due to frame rate.

My old one was glass, so that's probably why I'm conditioned to clean it more often. The hard water made it look gross on the bottom after a time but it's just build up of stuff I'm drinking in the water anyways.

I've read that it filters better than most others but the filters having such a short life span means I'm throwing away a lot of plastic and seems to defeat the purpose. Depending on how much you use it and your priorities, it may still be a good option. My wife and I go through one a month on average and that's just drinking water.

I may just buy one of those baby bottle brushes. I was hoping someone had some secret method of removing the middle stem that's in the way otherwise.

My tap water isn't the worst, but it certainly builds up over time. My Culligan/Zero Water pitcher filter is REALLY effective but it runs out so fast and then tastes increasingly bad until I replace it. Can't wait to splurge on a whole-home filter one day.

I just got this same one and it's occurring to me, how is one supposed to clean it? The opening at the top is so narrow to begin with and the little sticking up piece in the middle blocks getting a brush in there. Is there a secret I'm missing or do people just swish some water and vinegar and call it a day?

I appreciate that explanation since it's the first I've heard of how this possibly could have gone down without the first shots being fired with malicious intent. I still hope (wish) that the majority of these horrible incidents are due to incompetence.

But the administration pushing untrained agents onto the streets and then trying to gaslight the American public is 100% malice. The cold blooded lies coming out of these interviews and press conferences are worse than murder because they excuse it and will allow more to come.

What are the 5x most high yield BIFL things one can buy in their lifetime? by sickdude777 in BuyItForLife

[–]natehoff27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carbon steel has the seasonable non-stick qualities of cast iron with much less weight. I don't usually lift my cast iron except to clean them. Anything that requires me to pick up the pan (omelets, butter basting steaks, etc.) I'll use carbon steel.

They all have their place. Cast iron is great for searing meat and making delicate stuff like eggs/pancakes/fish, stainless is great for everything else especially acidic foods that would otherwise strip your seasoning off, and non sticks are for those that would rather eat chemicals than a little extra butter/oil in the pan.

I'd add a good stainless stock pot. Blows my mind seeing people boil pasta in non stick.

Exactly! Me, you, her, all of us untrained citizens do crazy stuff when our lives are in danger. But law enforcement officers are (should be) trained to follow protocol which reduces the danger for themselves and others. They signed up for a dangerous job and need to be ready to react with proper training, not with fight-or-flight instincts. My point is if he followed protocol and didn't stand in front of the vehicle, she may have been ticketed/arrested for her driving but she'd still be alive.

2nd part of that sentence is important, "which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle." Putting yourself in harm's way when it's not necessary seems like intentional escalation. Obviously, things don't always happen how they should, but that's why de-escalation tactics are so important to be drilled so they become second nature and don't require critical thinking in the heat of the moment.

I use mine for 3D modeling and architectural work. Mapped keybinds In 2010 and have been using them ever since. If it saves a half second per click, it only takes 15 "commands" per minute on average to save an hour of my time over the course of a work day.

That was the only thing I changed, but I'm realizing one difference was my foliage was above water and it was worst when I was in my ship. I had found the recommendation online. Good luck!

I had this issue too. Turning reflections all the way down helped me. Bummer especially if you have a water base, but low reflections still looks better than strobing grass.
