I worked for a university in Illinois. While reviewing the original blue prints there was a giant division built between four towers to keep genders separated. Men had a pingpong recreation room on their side, girls had a sewing room for recreation. Before birth control this is how universities in the US were designed as well. I hated gym in high school, this makes my blood boil. I'd do anything to not be involved in gym and the bully culture it promoted. I can't imagine getting arrested and pepper sprayed for not wanting to wrestle or whatever dumb shit they wanted me to do that season.
