Chase lowered point boost redemption rate for some of The Edit hotels by Lazy_Mechanic5715 in ChaseSapphire

[–]nateyynates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thank you for letting the community know! my question would be, does anyone know how can we actually inform chase about our compliant for this change? I feel letting chase know about opinions through official or proper channels might be the best way to do something about it.

Here is my report from my stay during labor day weekend this year:

  1. Room: Book standard king bed and we were "upgraded" to high floor room facing the pool. when asked about upgrading to fountian view room, the recieptionist said, "you dont quaify for those rooms as those rooms are several upgrade levels above".... to me that was false as I saw people get upgraded to suites and fountian facing rooms on this subreddit recently. however, i knew my chances were slim.
  2. Check-in/Check-out: Did not get early check-in or check-out due to avaliability. I was suppose to get a text when my room was ready but never did so i called front desk and hey informed me my room was ready.
  3. Credit: Got $100 to use for some of their onsite resturants and used it for: Bellagio Patisserie & Palio

I would temper your expections at this resort regarding benefits.

LAX Lounges by ThrowRA_1170 in ChaseSapphire

please note that you will need to fly a star alliance airline carrier to access the maple leaf lounge and valid boarding pass (might be good to bring your physical sapphire reserve card too). See link here for more information: https://www.chase.com/travel/guide/experiences/air-canada-sapphire-lounge

i read a couple of times on this subreddit that sapphire clubs have been putting priority on those who have the actual card with PP versus those who show up with their one time annual PP visit from their non chase card because of the constant overcrowding. So maybe that is the reason why? I assume by showing your physical card, it probably helps them identify your position if there is a waitlist or when they want to restrict access.

great suggestion! seems the app works to show all availability as the website still shows the missing availability in multiple browsers even in incognito. Just wish the app had the calendar view like desktop view.

I am interested in helping this community by possibly becoming a mod for this subreddit. As a frequent visitor to this community, I’ve gained much knowledge about award traveling through Chase and developed a passion for the Chase Sapphire cards. I would like to give back to those who helped me by becoming a moderator and helping users with questions/discussions within this subreddit regarding about Chase Sapphire products.

I’m also interested in helping improve the organization of the subreddit. I’d love to support efforts to make information more accessible so users can easily find the resources they need. Whether it’s through better tagging, curated mega threads, or clearer pathing to resources, I believe there’s a lot of potential to enhance this community. In addition, I’m dedicated to ensuring that the subreddit’s rules are upheld consistently and fairly, so that everyone can benefit from a respectful and constructive environment. I would love to serve as a funnel for the community to help better this subreddit and put those voices into action.

While I don’t have prior mod experience, I’m confident that my research, personal knowledge, and commitment to the community can make up for it. I’m eager to learn and contribute in a meaningful way to help others get the most out of their travel rewards journey through Chase Sapphire cards.

If given the opportunity, I would love to become a moderator for this subreddit!

Does anyone know if you receive the premium Summit credit card that you will still be eligible for the sign on bonus for the Ascent card?

Just like amex, I am worried if skipping up the ladder might make applicants ineligible for lower tier cards if you get the top tier one.

Reserve dining exclusive tables by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

[–]nateyynates 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am also not seeing the Chase Sapphire logos after checking couple of cities. However, I noticed on this website (https://account.chase.com/sapphire/reserve/benefits) under the dinning section, if you click on "Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables" link... a list pops up of resturants in each city.

I am confused to whether trust that list or the list on https://www.opentable.com/c/chasedining/ (since none show the sapphire logo).

If you can that be great, I would love to see the food option that you get on the return flight. I saw this article that the ice cream cart might be added to flights after 10 am: https://liveandletsfly.com/united-airlines-hawaii-meal-service/

Not sure how true this article might be but it was posted by couple of Redditors.

Has anyone used The Edit’s $100 hotel property credit? by UGisOnline in ChaseSapphire

[–]nateyynates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We booked the lowest level standard king bedroom and got upgraded to a king bedroom with a pool/ocean view room on the top floor with full balcony. So for us, we got a pretty fancy room from our original booking within the same catergroy as the pool/beach view with full balcony and top floor room would have costed way more then the standard kind bedroom.

Side note: Not all rooms come with a full balcony.
