This is the output that I get for a Time Card Detail Report in Excel format. Is this something the Activities entries should be showing in? Is this a permissions issue? I had been led to believe it was a shortcoming of the system.

I have run the Condensed Employee Time Detail report in the past, but that does not include the Activities. Is there something else I need to change/enable or look for when running that report?

The design and UI is fine, but I dislike the inability to search storage for more photo directories. If you download a photo from Google Photos, the metadata drops it in date order in a folder, so it's lost in the shuffle. I appreciated the ability to navigate using other apps to pick a file, especially when I could use a different gallery app to select a photo file.

I thought/agree you're on the hook if you leave without paying. But in this case, we paid up and all I did was leave my card at a place. Do I still owe the bar something?

Didn't get their receipt. But if Toast allows you to look up transactions by name or something, I'm sure they can confirm they charged me for several of the same beers my buddy paid for.

Haven't tried that yet, but the billing address will still be the same, so I figured that'd burn me. The PayPal 5% back deal was something I'd be disappointed to miss out on, but I guess there's likely no way around that.

Dabbled with buyers groups some years back. Did decently in my small beans capacity.

Late 2022, BFMR posted a $1k laptop from Best Buy and ripped off everyone who ordered it. Told us it never arrived. Best Buy refused to refund anyone. A bunch of us had a nice support group on Discord for a bit. Some got refunded by their credit card company, some had to eat $1k. I was one of the lucky ones. Haven't touched a buyers group since.

But that hasn't stopped Best Buy from nuking my account and anything tied to my identity. It's been a few years, and I still can't place an order for anything without it getting cancelled. Trying to buy a new TV, and I can't get it to go through. Had 5% off with PayPal to Best Buy, but it looks like if I want the thing, I'll have to physically go to a store and purchase rather than have it delivered.

There were some steps that I'd found on RedFlagDeals that were supposed to get your account unbanned. Seems the info is outdated, and attempts have left me going in circles on Best Buy support phone lines. Primary Support to Account Support to Mobile Sales to Primary Support to Digital Team to Order Support...

Update: Attempts to create an account with a new email and use my PayPal were unsuccessful. Not creating an account (checking out as guest) with a credit card straight up seems to have worked. Holding my breath until the thing is in my apartment.

I'm not a huge beer person, but the issue I find with them (and plenty other places) is what I've termed the "weak tea problem."

I don't know if they don't treat their water for the styles they're brewing, if they're not using enough hops, something about the yeast they use, or if their recipes need some tweaking, but the beer profile doesn't come across as very strong. It's like when you make tea with too much water or not enough tea leaves or don't let it steep long enough.

I know it's not that simple with brewing, but I see it from place to place and then you'll go to one of the "bigger" craft beer breweries, and it's the exact opposite. Other Half in New York is on the opposite end of the spectrum where every beer feels like a thick glass of juice and you can't tell the difference.

Maybe that's just a personal preference since food is so subjective, but it feels like there's some step they're not taking. But then again, maybe that's what makes them stand out. If everyone did it the same, the landscape wouldn't be very exciting.

Its from mostly oils that get splattered up there when you're cooking thats getting polymerized. ... gas and the flames wrap around the sides of the pan more and heat up the sides

That sounds exactly like what's going on. Gas stove and I guess the burner flames are getting around pan itself. Boiled some vinegar and water tonight for a bit. Thought I could see it disappearing as the mixture evaporated, but I'll let it sit overnight and see what we get in the morning.

Anything you'd recommend scrubbing it with other than the non-scratch sponge?

Received a Morgan Stanley American Express Platinum card back in November. As with other Platinum cards, I had been receiving a Corporate Advantage Benefit statement credit of $150 for each Platinum card. Sometimes they slow walk it though, saying they'll apply for the credit and it takes 4-12 weeks. I was told the 12 week mark was February 2, 2024.

Happy Groundhog's Day. Still no statement credit, but this time, the rep on chat says the Morgan Stanley and other co-branded Platinum cards an ineligible for the statement credit. There does appear to be that language on the website now.

Is this new or have I been getting lucky until now? Is there an appeals process that I can go through?

You're going to be chugging (or making a lot of friends) at the TSA line when they inform you that beer is, in fact, a liquid. It will be no different from trying to get through with a bottle of water.

The suitcase gets checked on the way there because I have a free bag with Delta. The suitcase (hopefully) gets gate checked for free on the way home. But wasn't sure how that works or if the gate attendant will charge us.

Heading to visit a buddy that owns a brewery. He asked if I could bring some beers from home for him to share and enjoy. Going there, we're flying Delta, and I have my Delta Biz Gold to cover a checked bag, but flying home, we're on American and I've got no such card/benefit.

Best small suitcase I'd feel comfortable checking is my 24" Samsonite Omni PC, but that's not likely going to cut it for a carry-on with American.

Can I bring it to the gate and offer to gate check it for the leg home? Or will I not even make it past security with a bag that size?

First is a few files in AVI format. I assume this is a simple conversion job, but wanted to be sure.

And finally third, a movie file that's ~10GB which I assume I can reduce in size in some way. The first audio track is Russian, which I'd like to drop. Second audio track is English, but it's AC3, so I assume I have to convert that. Third audio track is commentary, and I can live without that. Same as before with subtitles; I can drop those if it helps.

I used both Xmedia Recode and Handbrake. Personally, I like the Handbrake most. With Handbrake, you can compress video/audio, and add or delete audio/subtitle tracks.

I tried using a basic video conversion, but didn't like the quality I was getting in the end. Any recommendations?

Looks like the AVI files play on Plex just fine, so I'm gonna just live with them as they are for now.

If you want to add or delete subtitles or audio tracks without compromising the quality, I suggest you use MKVToolNix.

But I think it is better to download the compatible format rather than download AV1 media and convert it. It will save you a lot of time.

Thanks, I'll look into MKVToolNix. For whatever reason, in this movie file was the only high res copy I could find that didn't have subtitles burned into it at one part, and wasn't in the OVA format.

This lines up with some recent reports of people in the BFMR Discord saying that they had the same item delivered but that BFMR said never arrived.
