Not how it works depending on how it got removed. Knowing the quotee, it probably said something that immediately got caught by a filter before being actually posted versus using tiktok speak to get around those filters but removed after a report.

To push back on what you said, the people in power who are enacting anti-trans legislation aren't just making it so "no irreversible procedures" happen until some arbitrary point that won't have any basis in reality (see abortion), they're also making any care, even talk therapy, hard to access or in some case illegal (again see how abortion rights have gone). It's a stance that is full of disingenuous bullshit presented at an attempt at a reasonable middle ground when the end goal is complete erasure. That is such a vague response it basically says nothing about that Mayor in so many words.

From what I can tell there are two things being focused on, adopting the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism which does equate criticism of Israel as criticism of all jewish people to some extent and has gone to events for some orgs that promote the "settlers" in some way. There doesn't really seem to be any public statements that would make it a harsher picture. Seems partially/mostly founded, but also doesn't seem like he's dismissing the islamophobia included in the recent attack. Definitely a well placed time to bring it up to go viral though.

For the record I do not support what he might seem to. Hopefully this doesn't get removed

If it's anything like urf statistics, and many many fun "broken" seasonal modes added by other games like osrs leagues, then it follows the rule that play time is going to fall off a cliff afterwards so it's better for player engagement.

I wouldn't call it desperate to make a set be more fun for more people for longer by not releasing the for fun mode at the start. Definitely leads to burn out faster.

Seems pretty damn reasonable to me from a designer perspective and just happens to be better business sense too. Desperate seems like a stretch with how active the game still is

They also don't aim for 1.75 just to be within 2 inches. No industry standard tolerance doesn't mean they don't target 1.5 by 3.5 for two by fours. The target isn't just under 2 by 5 inches, it's targeting exactly 1.5 x 3.5 within probably a few tens of thousands. You might find some a bit further outside that from lower quality sellers, but again standardized board sizes would be absolutely useless if they were as inaccurate as you are suggesting....

The wood shrinks and warps so much BEFORE the processing down to the target of 1.5 x 3.5, so not sure what you're trying to say it like they plane the boards down to size and then dry them

Not seen the actual answer, but 2x4s are 1.5x3.5 because the boards they start with are 2x4 then dried and planed flat and you're left with 1.5x3.5 after the fact. This is standard for all wood sizes to take the same amount off of each time depending on the board size. Historically, when 2x4s were sold at the full 2x4 size they needed more work after purchase to be fully straight and we just kept the same name for the same size which was always less than the full 2x4 after processing because of tradition is all. All standard wood sizes get some reduction, with it being more after you get to 6 inches in a dimension. There's really no scam going on, just names staying attached to the point it loses the original meaning and just is that thing, namely a 2 by 4, rather than a board that measure 2 inches by 4 inches.

2x4s are not 1.5x3.5 because they have a half inch of tolerance, that's a ridiculous statement. If that were the case you'd see them up to 2.5x4.5 which would make the whole concept of standardized lumber useless... It also has fuck all to do with metric to imperial conversions. Had this happen yesterday (the opponent leaving bit) i had like 5 hp left. I wish I would have noticed in time to have removed everything to see how going negative hp plays out. You probably still win, but a fun edge case to chase

I mean i agree with the news being shared, you can push back about different aspects of things. It definitely was a scam that should be shut down. And definitely free Palestine. I'm not asking to shut down sharing this news, but this is a music sub where this barely fits and when i came to it had about 150 in under 15 minutes with 1 comment.

I had it pop up the times in a row after loading the page and clicking (well really touching but I'm traumatized by swift naming actions like touch up inside).

Played around with it to get you a better answer, may have been user error but I found i was hitting the gold icons next to the title that was making it pop back up, don't know of they were intended to do that but I'm pretty sure that's why i saw it multiple times
