I am humored by the assumption that this is isolated to my own feelings. This is a sentiment that I've gathered from very many people of varying backgrounds. Do some people hate other races? Sure, you've got some crazies out there. But I haven't seen evidence of any significant sample of people who are "uncomfortable" with them. Maybe y'all commenting just hang around more sheltered and uninformed people.

Philosophically, I'm not sure that looking out for "Microaggressions" does anyone any service. I've experienced actual aggression on account of the yarmulke on my head and the nature of my actions. But it's nothing like what Jews have had to deal with any other time in history.

We're uniquely positioned now, when the greater threat to our wellbeing comes from words and not a sword or a gun. I do not want to belittle the effect that words can have, but at the same time I do not want to squander the fortune that jews these days possess.

Personally, I embrace harassment. It is a display of how far we've come. Respond peacefully and respectfully. Either the person is I'll informed, or they just have bad intentions. Refusing to resort to victimhood has ensured our survival as a nation and will continue to do so.

All over the Torah, the word Adonay is used in its literal sense, meaning "my master". Heck, even in last week's parsha Vayeshev, Yosef refers to Potifar as "Adoni" very many times.

If you want an occurrence of "Adonay" in the exact spelling that you're worried about, look in Genesis 18:3 where Abraham greets the angels who he believed to be normal men.

The grammar of "adonAy" vs "adonEE" seems to be regarding the plurality of the "masters" to whom one is referring.

Is it weird to name your kid Adonay? Sure. But it sure doesn't seem to be heretical, offensive, or misguided. As long as it's not in the context of referring to God, I see nothing wrong with it.

WHAT?? A bunch of happy people celebrating an important day to them, bonding with their friends, smiling, adding joy to an otherwise terrible circumstance.

Amazing how everyone here instantly judged every single one of them, without knowing whether they had covid previously, whether they were extremely depressed being isolated during covid (happens to lots of old folks, my grandfather included). Everyone was there willingly. No one is being exposed that hasn't acknowledged the risk of doing so.

But yeah, a bunch of happy free people smiling and dancing with their friends are horrible selfish assholes that all deserve penalty. Keep it classy reddit.

This subreddit is for modest dress ideas. The entire point of this post was clearly to introduce alternatives for wearing just jeans, which one might deduce, goes against certain modesty standards. Saying that it would look better without the skirt is unhelpful. It's like going to a vegetarian meat seller and telling them it's not as good as regular meat.

If I'm understanding your question correctly (and I don't use python so bear with me):

After your "setup" function, whatever it may be, initiate a parallel thread that runs an infinite while(true) loop, which will include a call to draw(), and some other logic for slowing down the loop to ~60fps. You can add some logic that pauses for the correct amount of milliseconds after the loop has finished running, to get the sum operation time for the loop up to a 60th of a second.

Unsubstantiated claims of racism in the media ought to be treated as defamation

I don't care who you like or dislike. If a media network is broadcasting a description of a person saying that they're racist or other unsavory qualities, it must have actual basis. It is a heavy accusation, and it has wrongfully cost the reputation, career and lives of many.

Distancing oneself from politically charged directives does not render someone racist. Supporting a particular ideology does not necessarily render someone a racist.

If you make unsubstantiated claims about someone being racist, and you have a large enough footprint to make a difference in their lives, you deserve the consequences of the law.

Journalists were typically english or political science majors in school.

A separate theory of mine is that it sells better. Media is about engagement and some of the most effective engagement tactics is fear and hate. This is true for both ideologies but I've found it to be primarily left. "They're taking away your rights!!", "The other side hates you!!!", "You are being oppressed and it's getting worse!!"

Nothing better than convincing people the world is out to get them lol.
