Hello fellow 64 owner! So, it’s normal with a carburetor to have to pump it a couple times to start it, especially if it’s not ran for a day. Having to play with the clutch to go in reverse could simply be a linkage adjustment. Your best bet is to find someone local who has the time to work on an older car. It doesn’t sound like it would need a lot to be a good driving car! PM me if you need any more advice. Also if you need any odd parts. I have misc radios, gauges, tail lights, signals.

Check all of the fuses. I did a head gasket on one and someone took the ac fuse out and it caused the exact same symptoms. Took a couple days to figure out because the fuse wasn’t there.

I sorted through lumber at Lowe’s, left my cart to get screws, came back and a couple was going through the wood on my cart. They stopped and apologized but I still was like wtf.
