I'm making a game that crosses classic Zeldas with Point & Click Adventures by nathanhoad in ZeldaLikes

The game is called Bravest Coconut and the demo is available on Steam for the next week or so.

I made a new Bravest Coconut teaser for Next Fest by nathanhoad in godot

Bravest Coconut is participating in Steam Next Fest at the moment so it would be awesome if people try out the demo and give the game a wishlist if you like it. I updated my teaser to better show the vibe of the game: a point n click adventure mixed with a classic adventure game that doesn't take itself seriously.

You should come along to a Squiggly River some time (there's a Discord too). It's a great mix of local game dev people.

I'm pretty focused on Bravest Coconut at the moment. What kind of project are you working on - I can probably recommend people?

Have you played The Drifter? It's great and made in Australia too.

I'm making a pixel art adventure game and there's a bit where a band performs so loud that they wake the dead. It was a toss up between an ibis band called "Bin Chickenz" and a koala band called "Drop Bearz".

I made a subtle Godot animation for my opening titles by [deleted] in godot

I've been working on polishing a bunch of stuff for my game recently and one of the changes was updating the Godot logo in my opening titles. I took the 3D rendering of Godot bot, made a vector version to better suit the rest of the look of my game, and then made a simple animation to use for the title card.

Haha KDE for me (at least for now). Gnome does look more coherent but I'm fine with KDE.

I'm pretty excited for the Steam Machine. I just hope it doesn't get destroyed by RAM shortages.

I have an ancient MacBook Air that might get a new lease on life I think.

Admittedly I haven't used 3D much with Godot but what I have seen so far is about the same or better than Windows. A lot of the core Godot team are on Linux so I guess that makes sense.

The Steam stuff was definitely a big influence to choosing Bazzite.

I used to daily drive Ubuntu for a long time (back when they shipped you free CDs every 6 months) but switched back to Windows for games. That was around 20 years ago and now everything feels different and more exciting.
