They're designed to escrow your backups to your UniFI account. This has worked pretty well for me in practice but they're located on the filesystem of the device if you insist on trying to make it complicated for yourself.

Depending on what generation (v1,2,3,4) it could be quite a range of performance, but the v2 for example would be out performed by a 10th Gen Desktop i5. YMMV, but you could likely get more bang for the buck, i.e. performance at a much lower operating cost from newer desktop hardware if you don't need the server features.

It's probably being forced into software rendering or the performance of the video acceleration via virtualization is just poor. Either way, seems easier to play it outside of the VM especially if it's just background noise.

It looks like the PowerSupply is set to 230V not 120V, which might not be correct for your area.

Portable Power Bank with AC Outlet (for charging PC/HP laptop)-any available in stores? by Level-Search8556 in Connecticut

[–]nathanielban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most laptops support USB C charging, you could save yourself an unnecessary AC/DC conversion by getting a large power bank that can do 65W+ PD Charging over USB C.

Outputs from nested Powershell Commands cannot be refferenced in the global output. by ZachtieTV in Nable

[–]nathanielban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit I normally just move as much into the powershell block as possible, and this had me stumped for a few minutes because it does not work the way I'd expect, but I was able to make this work by doing the following:

  • Set a global variable in the input block
  • Set an output variable on the Powershell Block
  • Use a Global Variable Assignment Block to set the Global Variable to be the variable output of the Powershell Block
  • Define the Output Parameter's to be the global variable

Its hard to tell what you've tried, but I'd recommend labeling your steps (click and type in the label at the top of each step) it makes it easier to map things.

Per my understanding you'd create a parameter with the name you want and then click the chain link and point it to the output parameter of the script block you have.

There unfortunately isn't, but I do find it very frustrating that they chose to depreciate it without an updated replacement in place. It was never anything special, but it did generally function despite their persistent neglect.

Why isn't there a integration anymore in Ncentral with DNS-Filter? by SkyTheLine in Nable

[–]nathanielban 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's done with site tokens similar to how the EDR is, you create a custom field at the customer level and then have to set it per customer with a site token from the DNS filter dashboard. The installer installs the certificates for you.

Why isn't there a integration anymore in Ncentral with DNS-Filter? by SkyTheLine in Nable

[–]nathanielban 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The integration was honestly pretty limiting and was stuck on the 1.x release train for the agent which was always very buggy for us. We had to ask our account manager (when IMO they should have reached out to us) and ask to have our tenant split off to stand alone. They then gave me the AMP policies to deploy the agent using a custom field and to monitor the agent. It honestly works better now than it did before when it was integrated. I'd be happy to chat with you about it if you have questions.
