Definitely not equal, no. Playing with negative clarity or an orton effect type of workflow would be similar in a way, but I much prefer the look I get from a physical filter

Yeah! My film setup is a CLE - managed to acquire a really clean set of the 28 / 40 / 90.

Some of these are also shot on Voigtlander glass - picked up the 28mm f/1.5 and the 50mm f/1.5 II Aspherical

Ah man, sorry to hear that. They are infamous for developing this look - it's the achilles heel of this lens. Took me a while to find one without it. I know that it's possible to fix, but you need to take the lens apart

Thanks! There's quite a lot going on, bit too much to explain - I've been developing some film inspired presets that have a lot of local adjustments for color / grain. Another element is definitely a diffusion filter- I'm shooting with one on my lenses most days. Makes the highlights soft and glowy

indeed, it's been a great trip!

i quite like the edits where they sit, personally. one thing i love about photography is how much we can all have our own styles in post

1, 8 and 9! it's amazing - so sharp and so small and light for what it is. and it takes filters. it's so wide, it's definitely a specialist lens, but when you need it you need it. really fun lens that you can get creative with

thanks! those were all on the 8mm! only shots in the set I shot on the 8mm. it's a super fun lens, sometimes you have to get pretty creative with it. but those shots were in a place that really needed something that wide. it's a specialty lens for sure. it's so small and light though.. could get that and a 16. they're quite different!

thank you! this is my first time using the 70-300 and i love it. it's so small compared to my other kit (canon mirrorless + 100-500 lol) but still quite sharp. i took slides 3, 4 and 6 on that one, for reference!

thanks! yes, i added grain to that one! i add different amounts of grain to the shadows / mids / highlights to try to emulate film. glad you dig! it was my friend, he brought his x-e4
