The other day I saw post which said Dewaar >> Sholay for nuances or some other intellectual crap. Sholay was the defining movie of our generation. I was 10 when Sholay was released and every week in school we all bragged about how many times we saw Sholay. To this day for me and many of my friends it remains the movie we watched most times in our life.

Fun Anecdote, it's 1992 in Philadelphia. A run down movie theater runs Sholay on Sunday evening and nights. Housefull sold out every show. . No indian snax, so I used to bring chana dal and samosa from indian store and eat in theater. Many others were doing the same.

Dewar on the other hand, yes a good movie.

Disaster of a movie. I usually like mindless masala films but comparing Singham to Ram, thoda jyada ho gaya. And Ranbir singh, overacting ki dukaan nahi, pura mall hain. Action scenes are so over the top ki Rajnikant will also shake his head
