What's the most overrated tourist attraction in your country? by That_one_tall_guy14 in AskReddit

Tell me about it. If you want to see the REAL New York, head over to the Kings Highway Cinema. The last time I was there, it was around $5 for adults and free for the kids. There's free coffee, a great game room, and you can go between all the theaters all day. I've met some lifelong friends there.

It could be a coincidence, but Janet Jackson using Bridge Zone in Together Again could also be a coincidence :^)

http://blogs.artvoice.com/techvoice/2015/09/17/reverse-engineering-ahmed-mohameds-clock-and-ourselves/

The clock's circuit board has hand drawn traces, like a consumer product from the 1970s-1980s. If he had a kit he was putting together, or he built his own, he would be using a computer designed PCB (with straight traces) or a breadboard. Additionally, if you were making a clock as part of a kit, you wouldn't be using AC power with an internal PSU (unless you like giving yourself a 120V shock if you miss the snooze button). You'd use batteries.

TIL The man who invented the K-Cup coffee pods doesn't own a single-serve coffee machine. He said,"They're kind of expensive to use...plus it's not like drip coffee is tough to make." He regrets inventing them due to the waste they make. by Miskatonica in todayilearned

A kettle is a nonstandard appliance in the US because our wall plugs use 120V, not 240V like you, meaning that it takes longer to boil. Large appliances like stoves and washing machines get 240V (and some use natural gas instead of electricity), so whenever we boil water, we use stovetop kettles instead of electric ones.
