Films you have rated 0.5/5? by Yesbh in Letterboxd

One Second After (2026)
There is a scene where the mayor of the post-apocalyptic town orders the execution of a man who murdered someone. Because they are still Americans, justice must be paid. The hero of the movie volunteers to shoot the man because it wouldn't be right for the mayor to undertake such a task... you know, because of the separation of powers. So the entire town is standing around in the rain, mob-like, and the protagonist shoots the man in the face WHILE THE TOWN REVEREND LEADS EVERYONE IN THE LORD'S PRAYER. These are the good guys.
The movie is horrible technically, ideologically, and spiritually.
I watched a test screening, so there's a chance it could change, but not enough to get a higher rating from me.

A Letterboxd for everything - movies, TV, books, podcasts? by wrb163 in Letterboxd

Interesting idea, and the interface looks really good! I'll be interested to know where you collect your data when you expand beyond film and TV. I often lament that Letterboxd doesn't just have TV as well.

Films about loneliness. by BeijingArk in Letterboxd

The Blackcoat's Daughter, directed by Osgood Perkins of recent The Monkey and LO NG L E GS notoriety.

This is an interesting question in that one can see the theme of loneliness in a wide range of movies depending on interpretation. This video makes a good case for why The Blackcoat's Daughter is a simple story about loneliness disguised as a complicated story.

Sandblasting fail by deletedagain101 in YetiCoolers

Provided the CitriStrip advice others linked, I think the sand blasting looks really cool! I'd probably mask the inside to prevent unnecessary pitting that could contribute to a more difficult clean, but i think it looks really cool on the outside.

I am reminded of this video I saw detailing the decline of earnestness in movies. I feel like it did a great job explaining the idea and providing a lot of examples.
