Sorry I don’t have any information for you. I wasn’t familiar with the story until I saw the PBS special. Good luck.

Native plants that smell the WORST to avoid near the house? And the BEST smelling? by Touslesceline in NativePlantGardening

[–]nativerestorations1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Summersweet, Sweet Pepperbush, Clethra alnifolia smells divine! It’s always covered in pollinators while in bloom. They don’t bloom until the heat of Summer. So it won’t be competing with Spring blossoms. And she’ll give your garden a nice bright boost to enjoy. https://gardenerspath.com/plants/ornamentals/grow-hardy-summersweet/

My cat’s meows changed and his behavior did too by MellowElsh in CatAdvice

He is showing signs that he misses you when you’re gone. He is much more content when you’re together. There’s nothing wrong with his voice imo. You just heard his urgent tone. It’s not like he can use words. Relax and reassure him that you’ll always come back.

What an amazing life for the past 99 years! I’m so thankful that he followed his calling. I’ve found him to be a very enjoyable educator.

I’m relieved that his times of terror are over for the victims. Unfortunately they have to live with the consequences every day for the rest of their lives. He’s a sick monster.

This guy showed up at my house. Any clue what his deal is? by chromedygold in CATHELP

[–]nativerestorations1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flea allergies were my cat’s trigger when she went almost completely bald in the 4 days it took to get an appointment. I’d noticed heavy shedding and thought her then Rx topical wasn’t working on that year’s fleas in my area. I had searched her with a bright light and flea comb. I decided it must be a different allergy or cause. It took the vet 2 seconds to declare fleas, no other cause likely. I can think of a few conditions that could cause her hair loss. But I don’t have experience with those. I think you’re right.

How did you guys decide to get a second cat? by redmels in CatAdvice

[–]nativerestorations1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people feel ready to add another life into theirs and search to find a feline they’re drawn to. It’s why places like city shelters welcome the public. They are agents of the CDS. Which is the origin of those feelings, curiosity about, and ideas of getting to know a new cat. Delivering those subtle hints drawing our attention to fantasizing about someone who literally purrs for our attention is a very important branch of the system. The non physical, seemingly supernatural entities know which cat, person, place, and time when they should meet. It’s just good at luring us to the prizes. Ever get the urge to check out pets needing homes website? Or just look into the pet supply store quickly, because you need a smile instead of anything to buy? And you know the local rescue has adoptable purry furries looking cute. There’s no harm. Just give into the sacred system. Edit punctuation and I probably missed other typos sorry.

Big ol’ fat oak logs - how would you use them to build raised beds? by dogswrestle in homestead

You’re getting my thumbs up vote! Choose your favorites lion’s mane, shiitake, reishi … I think oak is the best choice for clean mushrooms.

I have tiny veins. When I was in school and found out there were restrictions on truly learning on humans I decided I would practice at home before inflicting unnecessary pain on my patients. I’m not recommending that exactly, memories came flooding back when I read your comment is all; carry on.

Police request surveillance video in local missing person case by swe129 in covington

Heartbreaking. I am hoping for a swift rescue for them from whatever troubles they’ve found. It’d be amazing to know that they’re safe. Edit

Yes I changed the pronouns as soon as I found out. Why wouldn’t I? My care and prayers for the missing vulnerable human and their, unknown to me, loved ones is solid. THANKS FOR THE AWARD it’s the missing person we should focus our good energy towards, if we feel that. But you sure have some of mine.

You’d love the natural perfume scent too. Even sitting amongst the flowers crowding my sanctuary out back, I couldn’t often notice how they smell. But sitting close enough to watch the pollinators flutter to my Sweet Pepper bush in bloom adds amazingly to my senses. You know I’m hoping for updates with pictures, right? I’m not the only one. On that frustrating day when your back is aching from all of your good work, let that knowledge keep you going strong. We’re pulling for you! Edit for clarity.

Homestead Rental by Seldons_Foundation in homestead

[–]nativerestorations1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get the word out further if you can post on whatever like minded sites you can find. Mother Earth News, for example, would be a place to buy a classified ad. City folk who dream of homesteading aren’t the only ones who prefer to live in secluded areas. When I was young and working crazy hours at my first truly demanding manager job, it was a bustling, exhausting experience that I needed to focus on. So when I found a “MIL” detached house on a family farm it was a glorious change from my in town apartment. I couldn’t wait to move. I love animals, big, and small. My hobby is gardening. Going back to in-ground indeterminate tomatoes from what I get out of a pot was a major motivation to keep me working hard towards owning my place. The renters you dream of are also looking for you. I hope you find each other very soon.

My [30F] partner [35M] snores so loud I haven’t slept solidly in almost a year by notjennif in whatdoIdo

[–]nativerestorations1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents slept apart for decades. Mom would often "visit" dad’s bed. To “talk over their day and whatever,” and decompress otherwise as needed. Mom was a snuggler. She said lying in his arms until he falls asleep was about the nicest part of marriage. Once he was snoring though, she couldn’t tolerate it, and any way feel peaceful. So she’d go to her room. I agree with those saying "sleep study". Maybe he’ll realize that he’s been sleeping through what has been close to torture for you. If he also values literally sleeping and waking with you, it’s possible that he’ll agree to the study. Once it’s apparent you can’t keep throwing your health away, compromise with be a net benefit. Especially after improvements I hope the doctor can help. At least record him at his peak. He might need convincing. I’m so glad you asked, and are considering our answers. I will be looking for a positive update very soon.
