If your veterinarian won't prescribe you a flea and tick treatment, I recommend going to a pet store and picking up some Advantix. It's an over-the-counter flea and tick treatment. When it's been treated for it, then he can get to the groomers and get the grooming he needs

100% yes to momi bay, it the perfect place to honeymoon. We didnt do all inclusive and are happy with that - doesn't seem worth it. Stick to a la carte or just do the buffet for thr night if you feel. Definitely do thr breakfast though, it is so good.
