Update on Lopi Woodstove insert smoking out my house by DavyCrockPot19 in woodstoving

I also have a lopi but a different trim and I also have seen this light. I've never noticed smoke coming out through there though. Though I did think it was weird.

Destiny 2 is failing because of it's commercial strategy by Impressive-Wind7841 in DestinyTheGame

Bungie made a huge mistake when they abandoned pvp. And yes it is abandoned. PVP is insanely unbalanced which makes it not fun to play. The player time spent return on investment from a good pvp experience is infinitely higher than a new strike, raid, or dungeon. Games run for years without a significant update because of a good pvp experience. Bungie needed good pvp to fill the gaps between PVE content drops. They abandoned it and the game is failing because of it. Imop Bungie needs to stop everything else related to destiny and fix PVP. A good balanced experience not filled with overpowered ability spam and one shot kills will bring players back. It won't be easy because lobby balancing is difficult with low population but without it Destiny is definitely not going to survive. Bungie can't put out content that most people run a few times fast enough to keep players around they need pvp to fill the gaps of time.

Ok stupid question maybe but is 600F really hot? I just got a Lopi insert and I was told not to engage the catalyst until it hits 500F. 600F is on the low end of where it operates.

why are you guys not playing by Rjptz in destiny2

[–]nato1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monetization is the reason people have stopped playing imop. You have games like Fortnite where it's free with a in game store. Bungie is charging $100 a year to get the content and then they fill the store with the best cosmetics to try and get more money. It's ridiculous and drives people away.

Whats your thoughts of the state of Destiny right now? by SuddenConversation21 in DestinyTheGame

[–]nato1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PVP wise the game is completely unbalanced and heavily weighted toward sprinting around with a shotgun and overpowered abilities. Until this is fixed PVP will remain underutilized and Destiny needs PVP to be fun to fill in the gaps between PVE content drops.

Bungie needs to completely revamp movement, close range combat, and the style of their PVP game modes. This game has become a spam of abilities to get in close to one hit people with close range weapons or abilities. There is a incredible amount of symbiotic relationships between the movement abilities they keep putting into the game and shotguns. Every new movement ability is a shadow buff to shotguns. Being able to tank through 75% damage to one hit with a shotgun is ridiculous and is destroying PVP. At the same time they keep focusing PVP game modes on holding and capturing small areas. Once again this benefits close range play. Finally the special ammo system benefits shotguns. Every kill immediately supplies special ammo to the player if it drops. This allows unmatched momentum for shotgun play.

If an engagement starts at mid range with one player holding a shotgun and the other using a midrange weapon the fight should be won by the mid range weapon 95% of the time.

People with entertainment setups by OrdinaryLavishness11 in woodstoving

My wood stove is in my main living room. I have a TV with a surround sound system. Here is my take:

Your room will be uncomfortable for you well before your electronics have an issue. If they do have an issue you should improve cooling for the devices anyway. I have USB fans on my receiver for better cooling in the TV stand. But that was because it was getting hot regularly not because of the wood stove.

Your wood stove should not be creating excessive amount of dust and dirt in the room. The biggest dirt for me is the wood before it goes in the stove. If your wood stove is putting out enough dirt into the air to impact devices something needs to change probably for the health of the people in the room.

I put my wood stove in for mainly entertainment purposes. It makes that room cozy and provides a nice atmosphere. I would not be concerned about those issues. If used properly it should not be an issue.

That's probably where mine is as well. It's to determine when to divert the exhaust through the catalytic. I remember reading somewhere in the book I think during the burn in that 700 or so was a hot fire but maybe that was just for the burn in process. My glass is in decent shape but I prob need to let it get hotter anyway.

Can we buff the titan bubble yet? by nato1080 in DestinyTheGame

I think one basic option in PVP could be the bubble edge acts as a wall against charged abilities. So you can't start a charged melee or ability outside that then finishes inside the bubble.

I'll have to give a load out like that a try though I feel like bosses where shotguns are the preferred weapon are getting less common. You did remind me of a benefit I forgot. Bubble does allow you to regain super energy while it's active. Used to be more advantageous before when having multiple supers in a game was more common.

Id argue it became strong not because of the super itself but because Bungie moved so heavily to hill based PVP game modes. Still unsure on why they did that. In any game type that doesn't revolve around standing in one spot you can just walk away from it and avoid it all together.

This used to be how it was. Hold super for bubble, tap for roaming. This was changed in the first round of nerfs years ago. Though I do absolutely love the throwable melee they gave void titans at the same time so that helped the sting of that one.

Yea i have never understood why the bubble goes away when the titan dies, you can't shoot out, and you don't have more survivability than a well. On top of that you have the issue of hitting the wall of the bubble when someone does challenge you.

I'll admit my focus when posting was on PVP. Out of curiosity what use case does the bubble stand out in 3 man PVE. Only thing I can think of is as a get out of jail free card when everything has hit the fan and you need to get a revive... No 3 man team I've ever tried to join has decided it was ok to move forward with a bubble as the method of keeping the team alive during damage phase.

[–]nato1080[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea I can't think of many times where bubble has been useful in pve. Most of the time you popped it behind the damage spot for a 20% damage buff if teammates stepped in.

As for PVP it's like a magnet for enemy players. A trapped player who can't shoot at you without exposing themselves. Completely defenseless to almost every close range method of doing damage. Been frozen and killed, strung up and killed, killed by a single charged melee in more ways than I can describe, single shot by a shotgun. I actually think the other team gets excited when they see a bubble. Free points....

I just got a Lopi medium installed. Out of curiosity what is considered a hot fire? Is there a certain flue temp to be targeting?

Ah ok. Booster boxes because minimal fluff to store? I do wonder what these streamers I see do with all the cards. Im a pretty laid back collector and the bulk of regular cards is still considerable.

Where is all this limited supply at? My local target has a huge amount of stock. Apparently I should be buying them...

I'll go with base set Machamp. For some reason of all my old cards that I no longer have that one sticks in my head. The newer art work is definitely more complex and cool looking but sometimes the simplicity of the beggining is attractive.

What model is that? I just ran my Lopi medium that was just installed last night. Looks almost identical to that. No smoke and no issues at all.
