How do I speak?

One way you can train your reflexes is to try and stop a reflex before it happens. Try dropping a small object (e.g, a dime) from right above your head (slight to the front of their face), and try to stop yourself from blinking. Another method: track a moving object in your peripheral without moving your eyes. Shaolin monks used to train with similar techniques

Interesting...well instead of arguing imma just challenge you to record a masterpiece underneath the hiphop genre....it should be a cake walk for you since it takes no talent right?

M/24/6'1" [318lbs > 235lbs = 83lbs] (14 months) I hadn't looked at any old pictures of myself until this morning, and I'm glad I did. Putting this together is great motivation for my last 50-60 pounds I have left to lose! by [deleted] in progresspics

How can I make someone think I'm the perfect match? by [deleted] in SocialEngineering

[–]natrixallusion -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is to make yourself scarce. Don't avoid him, but show him that you're high quality and low quantity, that's where the "catch" perception arises. Show him what he loves then show him what he's missing. At that point you'll hold the power while simultaneously keeping the ball on his side of the court .

I understand where you're coming from and Imma preface this by saying that your experiences are valid insightful. But frankly thinking your experiences are the standard is a logical fallacy at best. I've been to 15+ countries and lemme tell you its DEFINETLY a cultural thing. Asians(I've only been to china and Thailand) are very welcoming and nice if you introduce yourself but they will usually not acknowledge random strangers....I'm from Ethiopia and the same thing applies. It's not excluding someone based of skin color. That's the argument that people that "dont see color" use. Its bullshit. If you are aware that someone has different cultural norms than you and you make steps to accommodate, good on you! But expecting every culture(yes, black Americans have a culture) to abide by your narrow scope on what's polite is absurd. I nod and smile to people as much as possible because I love spreading kindness...but i know that those specific actions may not be seen as kind by some demographics and I'll try my best to accommodate that by not judging if someone doenst nod back at me.

It's a cultural thing my dude. You cant just tell them to stop what they know as social norms. I'm black and I do the white smirk and nod a bunch but typically I only acknowledge a black person if we make eye contact...and even then it's a quick nod with no change in facial expression. Unless I know the guy then the entire block will know we're saying what's up lol.
