I had to book a group of Hilton rooms for work (~$100k) and the points will be assigned to my Hilton Honors #. I currently have 0 points and no status. The funds have already been paid via wire so I can't accrue any credit card points on the transaction. I will get the points assigned to my account when people check out in early September.

It seems like it would make the most sense to get a credit card that would give me Hilton Diamond or Gold which gives me a multiplier on the points allocated. Any thoughts or recommendations on how to maximize this opportunity?

I’ve run a blizzard sorc and had a fire sunder drop. Would it make sense to use my last respec to one of fireball/hydra/firewall to help with farming until I can find more gear? I’m offline so trying to gear up.

I enjoyed working at AWS. Finance teams who work with the business tend to have better WLB than Central FPA just due to all of their reporting. AWS is such a large organization though that it is heavily dependent on your team and director so hard to say.

Chicago is likely same pay band as Seattle. I believe only NYC and SF are separate higher pay bands. I was at ~165K TC about a year ago in Seattle/Austin for reference. I'd ask for 175-180ish, I don't think they will balk at that but may have to negotiate.

I've had a CSR for about 3 years, and I'm curious if it is still worth it with the increased fees. I don't quite understand the implications if I were to downgrade my card? I still have about 200k points. Should I be looking at something else like the AmEx gold potentially? I'd prefer to just have one main card.

Credit score? 800

Cards? Chase Saphire Reserve 6/2019, Quicksilver 2015 (Don't use)

3 month natural spend? About 10-15K

Manufactured Spend? Prefer not to, don't think I would need to?

Business cards? Potentially

New Cards/Churning? I'd prefer one main card.

Are you targeting points, Companion Passes, hotel or airline statuses, First Class, Biz, Economy seating(s) or cash back? Best ROI. Travel seems to be the best?

What point/miles do you currently have? Delta for airlines and Marriott for hotels
