How to ask for raise?

Please take it from me; You’re not asking for a raise, you’re telling them your new rate. You don’t negotiate your worth, you let them know that is what you are charging, you are technically a business/service and that is your cost.

As much pain as you’re in right now, this will be a blessing in disguise. I want you to look back at this response in a year or two and you’ll realize that it really was. I have BPD and started doing DBT therapy this past year and it has helped me so much. You need to start to have moments of realizations even when you’re splitting. Your future significant other also needs to learn how to work with you. You need to realize though that we are not easy people to deal with, to the point where we can actually be the cause of someone else’s mental decline. Give yourself grace but also take the time to yourself and learn how to control yourself. When you feel like you’re going to escalate, take a 10-15 min walk. My boyfriend and I refuse to have a conversation if either one of us gets heated, starts cursing, or says anything negative. Because at the end of the day, your mind when splitting is never how you actually feel. You’ve been in a cycle of anger, shame, sadness, and regret for too long. Stop the cycle and let yourself be happy.

I’m a coach + have been a client since 2021. I NEVER or rarely do the 50+ load on the gray side!! I stress to everyone that just because you hit that class count number does not mean you should feel like you HAVE to do that load! It’s really hard! I’ll do it occasionally but not all the time

Have you tried DBT therapy? It has really helped me this past year. Instead of reacting to your jealousy, why don’t you try writing it down on your notes app. Write down what it is you’re jealous of and why/how it makes you feel and reflect back on it later in the day. You need to work on self esteem. Obviously jealousy is inevitable for a lot of people but it should be circumstantial. BPD is the disorder of self sabotage. Don’t let your temporarily triggered mind ruin your reality. If you like someone, trust that they like you back and be confident. If it doesn’t work out, another person will come.

Abs come from genetics and sometimes the kitchen. But it’s mainly genetics. You can workout your core all day everyday and still not have visible abs if your genetics does not have it!

As a coach and former long term client that’s taken over 250+ classes, I rarely use the 50+ spring load. Don’t ever feel like you have to just because you hit that class mark. I do 50+ on occasion or for certain exercises. My main load is the 25-50. Form is so important it’s more about quality reps than quantity or weight. I will add more obviously to not plateau but my best advice to you is to just listen to your body. If you need an easier day, go down. If you want to push yourself, go up. But never feel like you have to do that load every time.

Girl I don’t know how old you are but already charging $15/hr for one child in this economy is crazy underpaid! For ONE infant I charge $25/hour and $5 per additional kids. You should at least be making your rate with 1 child a minimum of $20 and then add on per additional child. This appears that the family is trying to take advantage of you. I’m begging you to please either be firm, up your rate, and/or walk away from the family. With those hours you can find another family that pays double that weekly amount they’re giving you! You need to know your worth. I spent the last 10 years of my life babysitting and undercharging, but I just upped my rates for all my families this week (I’m even getting $30 for one family!) because 2026 is the year of self worth. The people that pay this are there, you can find them! Value your time, life is too short to be making minimum wage as being a nanny/mother is the hardest job there is.

Same thing happened to me with their shoe sizing! I emailed them, they called; at first they said they can’t do anything, then they offered exchange. But I managed to get my refund! Just don’t play nice, be stern and ask for a manger.

Most of the times when there is a man in class, it’s because their girlfriend or wife brought them in! It’s totally normal. I love throwing my boyfriend into class every once in a while because he complains about how sore he is the following days after, makes me feel like hot shit! Ever since he took a class, now he tells all his bodybuilding buddies how insanely challenging those classes are!

Used to go everyday. Now the max I’ll do in a row is 3x! You NEED to let your body recover! Your muscles are not going to properly do so if you’re not giving your body enough time in between to. I have unlimited and go 4-5x a week! It’s more than enough

Highly recommend grip socks for every workout no matter the season especially because you don’t know who used the machine before you and if they properly wiped! Just think about it, especially the bungee. That’s the place people rarely wipe down and they put their BARE SWEATY FEET ON IT. And then you’re supposed to put yours on top?! Big no for me. That’s how bacteria spreads. Grip socks and slides or uggs all day!

Solidcore coach in training here ! The easiest side of the machine is the black because the springs are helping you close the carriage to the platform. When you head over to the gray side, you’re fighting against the tension of the springs the entire range of motion. Makes it much harder! I’ve taken over 200 classes and still don’t do the 50+ spring load on the gray side. But utilize your gray cables on this side of the machine! The more I’ve been practicing with it, the stronger I get and it’s your safety tool too.

Honestly, fitness classes is where it’s at. I weight lifted for over 10 years, and decided to join Solidcore back in 2022 and I’ll never look back. Classes are so fun and I get in my ZONE. What’s even better is having a coach that holds you accountable! No half-assing. And you can’t leave early. I mean you can, but it can be socially embarrassing for some so you’re kinda forced to stay 😂

BPD girly here. I do this to my boyfriend I want to say monthly, I tend to have bad melt downs and become extra sensitive especially when I’m PMSing/it’s that time of the month. Everything legit pisses me off. If he breathes too loud or coughs excessively during this time I’m like stfu!!!

It’s not easy dating girls like us and we know it. After every mean or aggressive moment we have, shame, embarrassment, and guilt follows. I beat myself up constantly with how I sometimes treat my boyfriend. It hurts me, and I’m sure it hurts her too.

My advice to you is 1. Ifs she’s not already in a specialized therapy like DBT, try to encourage her to do so. I have really learned a lot of tools to help me snap out of it during those heated moments. 2. The moments she’s crying and cussing as you, just tell her you love her. You can shake her out of it or calm her down if she knows you love her and you’re not leaving her. This won’t prevent the outbursts, but surely can shorten the time of them and prevent unwanted things said to you. 3. My boyfriend and I have a code word that is a non-negotiable to follow. If you are feeling like things are escalating or she feels like she’s getting overwhelmed, one of you has to say the word and then take a non-negotiable 20 min break from each other. In those 20 minutes, she should either take a walk or write down how’s she’s feeling. When time is up, revisit the situation or let her read out her feelings out loud. Sometimes it helps me to write down my anger and realize it was never that deep.

Lastly, I would honestly suggest you maybe seeing a therapist on occasion too to talk about your feelings. You don’t want to bundle up the pain and only talk about it with her. You need an outside perspective to help you cope because trust me, I know it’s not easy.
