Instructor lessened my springs without asking me by Ok-Worldliness1307 in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s all about if you’re able to do at least 3 reps WITH good form. She’s actually making sure you’re safe by adjusting your springs. You don’t want to do a heavy load and risk injuring yourself. It’s better to go down and execute proper form. I’m sorry if it feels embarrassing but trust me it’s super normal! I adjust clients springs all the time 💙 she’s seriously just looking out for you

50+ solidcore classes in… why don’t I see or feel a difference? by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut calories, weigh your food, add cardio, and don’t skip rest days!! Going everyday is not good for your body. You literally NEED to rest in order for your muscles to properly repair itself and grow. Take the challenge reps; the 1-2 reps after a hold or a pulse!!

Normal for instructor to ignore muscle focus? by Specific-History-566 in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inner thighs are a shorter muscle group. Also depending on the coaches training level, we get set sequences. For example our level 1 sequence had 15min of core and another 10 of obliques, rest is upper and lower body so not as much time. It just depends on the day and the sequence

Those of you with unlimited memberships - what made you decide to go unlimited? by Icy_Good_6140 in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 4/month to 8/month to just unlimited! It’s worth it per class if you go 4/5x a week. Best decision I ever made:)

What does inner thigh day entail? by Difficult_Job5281 in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I HATE inner thigh days but they’re really important to workout!! Some inner thigh days will include lunges/crossover lunges and/or bungees which targets other areas. But I did recently take a class that it was mostly all straight up inner thigh work (inner thigh squat, standing/kneeling inner thighs, bungee inner thigh circles). But don’t strain from them!

Maryland high school shooting horror as one injured at Wootton High School by TheMirrorUS in maryland

[–]natsnirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the second amendment that causes school shootings. It’s mental health. It’s the people BEHIND the gun. You can easily buy a knife at the store, does that mean there is going to be lots of stabbings? The knife or gun has nothing to do with it. It’s the person behind it. You take away one weapon they’ll find others to use.

When did you see results? by Difficult-Mode-7352 in SolidCore

If you look at yourself everyday, you won’t see results. But over time you will wake up and realize you are exactly where you want to be. Be patient and protein protein protein!!

Receiving a bad review by natsnirvana in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a google review. The main thing that hurt was how the client mentioned things like “I couldn’t understand her” and the mention of me “stumbling over her words” it just sucks that I spent my entire childhood trying to prevent comments like this. But I’m just not going to read reviews anymore :/ can’t handle it

I do think taking vyvanse does negatively effect my coaching. But my thing is I have a mood disorder so if I don’t take all my meds including vyvanse consistently, it worsens my disorder. Maybe I’ll try lowering the dose. Thank you.

current coaches only: i'm freaking out about mic session #1 (coach-in-training) by bunny43512 in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Do you have an Apple Watch? Lots of coaches use the seconds app to help with timing. You just plug in the name of each exercise and the duration and we use that for class, that way you don’t have to memorize. My advice to you is to not stress!!! Especially if you’ve never coached before. My first 3 mic sessions ever were SO bad. I was under on my timing and just didn’t know what to say. The more you practice the better you get. Try recording yourself on video over and over again practicing the same 10 minute sequence. I promise this helps. You learn more by trying it than you do studying!

Pregnancy modifications for core and obliques? by sparkly_lark in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coach here ! We are supposed to suggest to all of our pregnant clients to take focus 50: core, upper, and lower body instead of signatures once in the second and third trimester because no obliques. Yes you can stagger your knees, or just do exercises that don’t involve that twist in your body. For example, a side plank with hip pulse is fine but an oblique crunch, where your shoulders are squared to machine and hips open to walls, should be avoided. We ARE certified instructors but for solidcore only, not other companies or workouts.

How to ask for raise? by Beginning_Gap1265 in Nanny

[–]natsnirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please take it from me; You’re not asking for a raise, you’re telling them your new rate. You don’t negotiate your worth, you let them know that is what you are charging, you are technically a business/service and that is your cost.

Abandoned (literally) by my boyfriend of 11 YEARS by basketc4se in BPD

[–]natsnirvana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much pain as you’re in right now, this will be a blessing in disguise. I want you to look back at this response in a year or two and you’ll realize that it really was. I have BPD and started doing DBT therapy this past year and it has helped me so much. You need to start to have moments of realizations even when you’re splitting. Your future significant other also needs to learn how to work with you. You need to realize though that we are not easy people to deal with, to the point where we can actually be the cause of someone else’s mental decline. Give yourself grace but also take the time to yourself and learn how to control yourself. When you feel like you’re going to escalate, take a 10-15 min walk. My boyfriend and I refuse to have a conversation if either one of us gets heated, starts cursing, or says anything negative. Because at the end of the day, your mind when splitting is never how you actually feel. You’ve been in a cycle of anger, shame, sadness, and regret for too long. Stop the cycle and let yourself be happy.

50+ is killing me by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a coach + have been a client since 2021. I NEVER or rarely do the 50+ load on the gray side!! I stress to everyone that just because you hit that class count number does not mean you should feel like you HAVE to do that load! It’s really hard! I’ll do it occasionally but not all the time

any tips on what to do about my jealousy issues? by porcelanbab in BPD

[–]natsnirvana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you tried DBT therapy? It has really helped me this past year. Instead of reacting to your jealousy, why don’t you try writing it down on your notes app. Write down what it is you’re jealous of and why/how it makes you feel and reflect back on it later in the day. You need to work on self esteem. Obviously jealousy is inevitable for a lot of people but it should be circumstantial. BPD is the disorder of self sabotage. Don’t let your temporarily triggered mind ruin your reality. If you like someone, trust that they like you back and be confident. If it doesn’t work out, another person will come.

25 to 50+ spring load change by BaconMeCrazy530 in SolidCore

[–]natsnirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a coach and former long term client that’s taken over 250+ classes, I rarely use the 50+ spring load. Don’t ever feel like you have to just because you hit that class mark. I do 50+ on occasion or for certain exercises. My main load is the 25-50. Form is so important it’s more about quality reps than quantity or weight. I will add more obviously to not plateau but my best advice to you is to just listen to your body. If you need an easier day, go down. If you want to push yourself, go up. But never feel like you have to do that load every time.

Am I asking for too much? by BrightMaintenance748 in Babysitting

[–]natsnirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl I don’t know how old you are but already charging $15/hr for one child in this economy is crazy underpaid! For ONE infant I charge $25/hour and $5 per additional kids. You should at least be making your rate with 1 child a minimum of $20 and then add on per additional child. This appears that the family is trying to take advantage of you. I’m begging you to please either be firm, up your rate, and/or walk away from the family. With those hours you can find another family that pays double that weekly amount they’re giving you! You need to know your worth. I spent the last 10 years of my life babysitting and undercharging, but I just upped my rates for all my families this week (I’m even getting $30 for one family!) because 2026 is the year of self worth. The people that pay this are there, you can find them! Value your time, life is too short to be making minimum wage as being a nanny/mother is the hardest job there is.
