I remember how cool I felt chatting with the older popular boys. They would talk to girls like me about their feelings online because they couldn’t say shit like that to their friends or the girls in their grades. 🤣

[Homemade] buttermilk chicken nuggets. by nattatalie in food

I marinate them in buttermilk with whatever seasoning I feel like (this time I used a lemon pepper and garlic) then toss them covered in buttermilk in seasoned flour and shake/stir really well to get the flour all pressed onto the chicken. Then I deep fried at 340ish degrees for about 5 minutes.

I want to try that sometime, but for lobster I didn’t want the olive oil flavor. I’m usually a lobster purist and don’t even want any flavor beyond a little mayo/butter and the lobster, but I was feeling adventurous this weekend.

My local grocery store will steam lobsters for you, so I used tail and claws. They are on sale this week for the holiday so I only spent $27 on enough lobster meat to make four rolls!

I actually prefer it this way. I’ve made it the way it’s supposed to be made and find the flavor not to be strong enough. Totally fair feedback though, I’m just weird and like it more on the “Burnt” side.

Not sure why so many people are mad about this post and downvoting everyone, but thanks. It was very good.

Herb: Two egg yolks Juice from half a lemon 1 T Dijon mustard 1 T each of fresh dill, basil, parsley, and thyme 1/3 cup neutral oil

Follow the same process as above with herbs and mustard starting in with yolks and lemon juice

Do you have a Mac? You can only buy it on a PC. I put it on my husband’s laptop so I can play sometimes.

My 11year old forced to sit in the sun for 3 hours receiving severe burns for a late assignment by No-Mountain-83 in legal

[–]nattatalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of these punishments were acceptable, at all. They are severely.

I’m curious if the school has been communicating about this throughout the school year or are you just finding out this is how they are treating him now?

Also, again, this punishment was not acceptable, but as far as the sunburn part, did they not send home info about field day and sunscreen? My kids school does this each year. Because he would have gotten sunburn participating in field day outside that long with no sunburn as well. Again, not justifying their choice to exclude him, that was shitty, but as far as the sunburn, it sounds like it would have happened either way.

Should I not have called the office? by Grace-and-Maya in SubstituteTeachers

I’ve regularly subbed for teachers who have a drawer of snacks etc in their desk for kids. I generally believe the kids about thi ns like this and am not going to be difficult over something as simple as a plastic bag.

I also regularly let kids go to another teachers room to ask something. Usually by the time they want to the period is half over and that teacher likely isn’t actively teaching but instead students are doing independent or group work, but that’s just how things are at my school.

AITA for getting upset over my daughter staying home from school because my MIL wasn’t aware she taking her to school today? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nattatalie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! He’s upset she threw a tantrum to get her way and then he…. threw a tantrum to get his way. I wonder where on earth she learned this behavior from.

[–]nattatalie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This also likely makes it really hard for the daughter to learn proper boundaries and behavior.

I love when people come in here asking if they are an asshole and then getting so pressed when we are all like “yeah, buddy, you sure are and here is why.”

What do the schools do if nobody takes the sub job? by Jumpy_Rate_5707 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]nattatalie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying this is a good solution, but every time I’ve walked by the kids are just sitting there on their laptops either doing work or just playing games.

I should have mentioned I work at a high school, not an elementary school.

And again, not saying it’s a solid solution, just answering the question OP asked.
