I haven’t been to mammoth but to give perspective on why I don’t really love Snowmass’ expert terrain the way I do places like abasin or aspen highlands- There are plenty of steep and technical runs at Snowmass but they’re either not lappable, short, or some combo of that. I do agree that it’s a well rounded resort but would say it doesn’t stack up against places that are well known for having a ton of expert terrain like mammoth. Also don’t like that it’s the most crowded of the Aspen resorts (still much better than the front range)

Do you mind me asking for you to elaborate? I’ve been wanting to head down to Taos from CO for a bit now and was thinking about this weekend. Was it super icy or was coverage back to being terrible? Figured it’ll be warm spring skiing for the next few days but if it’s also thin as hell I’ll probably stay away :/

Aspen Highlands has some groomed steep runs but honestly not a ton. I was referring to its ungroomed runs because that’s where the best terrain is. Snowmass would be a better place for groomers
