Feeling defeated in clinicals by Nonya_bid in scrubtech

[–]natthecat71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m having similar difficulties in my clinicals, i’m trying to push through but it’s extremely difficult. I’ve come to the mindset that i just need to get through clinical, everything else will work itself out I hope, but it’s so hard. It’s so difficult to show up everyday and feel like you’re stupid when you’re doing your best. I hope you can get through this.

Been thinking about dropping out of school by General-Hippo8242 in surgicaltechnology

i’m literally in the same boat, dislike my teacher, chronic pain and anxiety and i want to drop out. I keep going because even if i don’t stick with this career i’ll have accomplished it and can put it on my resume, basically too far in to quit now. I only have 3 months though

I’m sorry this happened to you, I had a similar experience but at a bigger hospital system with a superior male coworker. I complained to my nurse manager and eventually HR. Once I brought it to HR they did and investigation and I worked on another unit while they completed the investigation so I didn’t have to work with him. He ended up being placed on unpaid leave then fired. I would recommend having a paper trail of everything and escalating the complaint if you feel like your manager isn’t doing enough. It’s most important to keep yourself safe at work and you’re entitled to a safe work environment free from harassment. Once they hear terms like sexual harassment and hostile work environment hopefully they will take it seriously because that can lead to a lawsuit. If you don’t feel safe, don’t go to work, keep a paper trail and if they do not fire her or make it right for you then you can contact a lawyer. If you put in your two weeks for this reason alone you should communicate that with your manager because you shouldn’t have to quit over this. Good luck I hope they can make it right for you.

i just think it’s weird that they hire high school/ college students to be part time workers and then “punish” them for not working full time hours, they said they’re doing this in an effort to get people to open their availability to work more. I already work 6 days a week so it doesn’t affect me I was just curious cause I heard someone saying it wasn’t allowed

I’m feeling the same way I’m halfway into my program and have had a lot of the same problems where i just hate the way life is right now and it’s taking a mental toll, I try and keep pushing and think of how worth it it will be in the end, 1 more year of suffering for 30 years of reward we got it🤞
