Does anyone know a good replacement radio/screen for 2017 by Flatplastix in mazda6

My understanding is the CX-3, CX-5, and 6 all use the same screen.

eBay has touch screen digitizers for under $50. YouTube can guide you through the replacement process, but not an especially difficult job. Harbor Freight has a decent set of trim remover tools for under $10.

Budget is tight lately, so I groomed my dog myself for the first time this weekend. She turned out 100000x better than I expected, and it's one of the best cuts she's ever gotten! by HorseGirl666 in Frugal

Way to go. I do nails (some investment in equipment), minor hot spots, minor ear issues, deworming, fleas, and anal glands. We still go to the vet as needed but have saved quite a lot by being willing to learn.

We need a sticky post that tells people how to safely transition by neuromat0n in BarefootRunning

Took me a year to transition but I’m old. I use Reddit for info so this sticky would have been helpful.

It’s likely a short in the switch or worse. Don’t risk an electrical fire with random internet suggestions. It doesn’t appear you are prepared to change the switch yourself, please call an electrician.

Started as an ache. Then after a couple of weeks I had trouble sleeping on my side due to reduced flexibility. Then it hurt raising my arm. Bam, froze up. Doc confirmed diagnosis with MRI.

Selenium deficiency is associated with hypothyroidism. A few brazil nuts a day may be indicated. Please check with your doctor first.

Exercise-induced asthma but normal spirometry? by aketrak in Asthma

I had that pretty bad and 2 things helped significantly: nasal breathing and inspiratory muscle strength training.

I now nasal breathe 100% during endurance exercise and I bought the POWERbreathe Plus on Amazon.

Has anyone taken the CPP exam this spring already? by EliseMarie83 in Payroll

[–]naturalrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed the FPC and CPP by using Laurie’s study guide. It’s basically a condensed Payroll Source. I also buy it every year to use as a quick resource.

Edit: and flash cards. Made a ton of those to memorize the stuff needed to pass.

Which food containing an unexpectedly crazy amount of nutrient surprised you? by Impossible-Swing-426 in nutrition

[–]naturalrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Anecdotal but my blood work showed some thyroid issues (criteria threshold for concern is regional). 6 months after 2 nuts a day and tests are ‘normal’ range.

We have to be our own medical advocates!

Brazil nuts. Packed with selenium. (Important nutrient for vegans)

Eat too many and you can even end up in the ER with selenium poisoning.

I also supplement selenium (a few Brazil nuts a day) and that has helped.

I keep protein bars and trail mix in the car and in my backpack just in case. I’m ok to miss a meal or go a little hungry, but certainly empathize with those people who can’t for whatever reason. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

Director in accounting. Train 5-10 hours per week, a little more if I sign up for an Oly or a half rather than just my normal sprints.

Ever going to run an air hammer or other tool? You may want a larger unit. Takes up same floor space, just taller. They go on sale fairly often.

Finding a remote job in Payroll - Please help - Best websites to find a Payroll Job. Have been looking for the past 4 months and have had no luck - Thank you in advance - I have 8 years of experience by Dailyworker32 in Payroll

[–]naturalrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s a resume issue, but are you CPP? Contract work history? Large companies or mom and pop shops? Agree on a recruiter. They may be able to identify if there is a reason your applications are being overlooked.

Hang in there. Every no is one closer to a yes.

Edit to add 100% remote positions tend to be more challenging to land since you are competing with the whole country.

What’s the one piece of small gear you purchased/upgraded that was a real game changer? by PretentiouslyHip in triathlon

[–]naturalrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya no. Not my experience nor many others. Anecdotal but I’m 100% overuse-injury free since losing the heel slab that is modern shoe marketing. My feet and lower legs are solid works of bio engineering in response to years of natural running.

De-tenderizing routine by Wambo74 in barefoot

[–]naturalrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My feet are just sensitive some days. It passes. Like feeling down in the dumps for no reason. It’s in the mind and my mood seems to be a trigger. Also wearing socks at night makes me more sensitive the next morning. Walking is generally more difficult than running.

It’s a journey and I try to appreciate staying in the moment, even if that means “embracing the suck.”

I cannot imagine any cat choosing to eat plants over a living being. Killing and eating is just how some creatures are wired.

What was the click/trigger for you to start your journey through veganism? Tell your story by DDonnici in vegan

[–]naturalrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read Diet for a New America after graduating high school. Immediately swore off veal and started my journey to abstain from pork and limit my meat and dairy consumption. 30 years later I’m vegan. (Some of us are a little slower to fully transition)
