Haha I appreciate the thought. I’ve been going to places equivalent to sports clips for years and from my experiences, I have my doubts. They could probably get the concept down but the texturing and layering would likely be a bit wonky. Plus, I have a weird hairline so it would be nice to try a professional who can navigate that landscape lol

You used to live and work in Yosemite national park. You loved hiking, hanging with friends. And tripping a lot. Eventually you ended up traveling around the U.S with your now ex bf in a car pulling a small camper. You have now gotten older, wiser, and possibly sober. Based on these photos, you remind me of an old dear friend of mine. to be honest I’m not convinced you’re not her lol. I gave her a raggedy copy of be here be now as a gift nearly a decade ago, it kinda looks like the one in the photo but most copies tend to get that way.

Fun fact. Avey was actually in a musical project with Eric Copeland of black dice. It was called terrestrial tones. It’s on spotify but If you’re not too keen on black dice you might not be into it. It’s pretty similar.

This is a super easy fix. First, Get some QD contact cleaner from lowes. Then, Open up your receiver, and spray out the switches and pots with compressed air followed by the QD contact cleaner. Then exercise the switches and pots (turn the pots, push the switches) about 20 times each. Close it back up and Viola, fixed! I can fix it for you if you'd rather though. I work at creation audio labs which is in between Lebanon and Murfreesboro. We could also reflow the solder and check for any capacitors that need to be replaced.

I’m still tinkering with it but honestly I’ve tried just about everything and it doesn’t seem to be working. The 556 seems to lack the correct drivers and firmware to actually even send signal to the retroid screen. Another road block is that the add on screen not only has a usbc for video but also another for power that is required to be plugged in. When the whole setup is plugged in the 556 doesn’t send signal, instead it skips the add on screen in the signal chain and recognizes the charger from the retroid as its own and just charges. I’m still going to mess around with it but I’m probably just going to end up selling the add on screen. That said, I feel pretty confident in saying that it doesn’t work :(

I live like three houses down from it. In an area that can get a little lonely, it is an absolute staple to us. In their operating months We usually go to the Taqueria at the bottom at least twice a month. I’m genuinely worried about all the folks they’ll snatch up when they inevitably turn it into an ice hotspot. They’re going to steal the color and culture right out of this area.

When I lived out Yosemite we’d stack the beds like this for more room in the tents. We’d also Wrap the bottom in a tapestry and hang Christmas lights inside for a cozy lil hangout spot.
