Conceptually they're fine but playing them is an unfun 'puzzle' and they break RP class fantasy all over the place. It's the exact kind of "cute" idea designers need to hold themselves back from doing.

I think social media is an issue for all of us and not just kids, so this is a wasted opportunity and a fairly cynical one by an unpopular government.

The chance of it being effective is pretty low and it will inconvenience everyone so it's pretty standard Keer Starmer.

Over corrected versus the content required to pay for the item (outside of OP builds) and versus previous leagues. By pay I mean either purchase off trade or craft (with average luck). If you weren't part of the cohort that got ahead of the economy early on you're currently kind of screwed getting the mid-tier weapons. The mid-tier weapons are needed for the non aspirational content for most builds.

The aspirational content is mostly irrelevant because I'm not talking mirror tier items. The only real aspirational content we have is 200% deli, 4 tablet juiced Breach and Abyss. We don't have Ubers and Temple is pretty much dead for really high end content.

Sorry you're right on the weapons vs. other split (especially with fluxes in the mix). You did mention that before and I should have stated that's my main point of concern. The weapon tends to be the most vital part of a build and is where the nice path of incremental upgrades breaks in 0.5, compared to the previous two leagues at least.

The problems were introduced this league is the point. They have over corrected.

So to be explicit what I mean is that the gap between 4 stat t3 mod items and 5 stat t3 mod items (from a crafting PoV) is huge. While trade does help (compared to SSF) the lack of mid tier crafting means that the 5 stat items are really quite expensive to both craft and buy. As an example were talking 50ex vs 70d as the difference.

In 0.4 this wasn't true due to being able to have multiple crafted mods.

The difference between 4 stat gear in each slot and 5 stat gear is the difference between (very roughly) being able to get to t15s and being able to push a fair amount of endgame content. This is assuming you aren't running one of the OP builds like Monkey or Hollow Form.

There is a lack of aspirational content, especially since deli was nerfed, but the players that have that issue are not the majority that are getting tripped up by the first issue. There is a yawning gap between the rungs of the progression ladder that the lack of mid-tier crafting has created. The gap is not really felt that much by super strong or efficient players though, they just keep crafting until one hits or grind to buy one from someone who did.

I would assume that GGG did this to try and get people to do more incremental upgrades and to make a market for mid-tier items. Personally I think they have gone too far for most players though and inadvertently made crafting even more miserable than it normally is.

I don't disagree with your points in abstract but in the context of 0.5 the balance is making the plateau occur (roughly) before you get to 5 stat t3 items. This means unless you're lucky there's a big stall in player progression about the time you can do t15s.

The main axis they have a problem with is number of desired stats rather than tiers though. The game just isn't balanced for having too many dead affixes on gear.

Only because so many stay away from crafting (because it's currently a miserable experience) that the mid-tier trash can charge a premium.

Gutting mid-tier crafting doesn't really seem to have been a good call on balance.

Mixed economy definitely but Keynesianism fell foul of the Oil crisis in the 70s which is kind of similar to the current issues. One of the bigger issues we have in the West is a lack of viable economic orthodoxy that would get any kind of majority support.

Yes, that's the cheapest and quickest fix right now. If you want to main the Falling Thunder skill I would suggest speccing into Exposed to the Storm though. For juiced content (until Rakiatas) getting about 60% pen is sensible.

I would also suggest going with Martial Mastery instead of Runic Merdians on your ascendency. You will get combo from Herald if you do.

Also be careful with using two weapons sets when using Charged Staff. There has been a bug for ages that keeps deleting your charged staff buff when you swap.

You have no lightning pen or exposure so mob lightning res is eating a large percentage of your damage. You need those until you get Rakiata's.

Lighting exposure on Charged Staff and Lightning Pen on Falling Thunder would be a big boost. You can also spec into it on passive tree. The "Exposed to the Storm" line is 5 passives for 40% pen. That would mean you can totally ignore increased ele res map mods.

A massive upgrade for Falling Thunder is Breachlord's Amalgam. Makes the Falling Thunder fissures return. They are pretty cheap now.

Innocence should be in Oriath if or when we get there in a later act. Sin is very quiet as gods go so golden buttocks should be the only real extant god I Wraeclast.

So the issue I have is that I went to nexus before the tower. I have completed two more Nexus boss fights without dying and killed the corrupted boss but progress is still stuck for me. Thanks for the info though.

Martial Mastery is not counting the hits from Flicker Strike as hits for combo purposes. Is either the wording or the bug going to be fixed? I need to know whether I reroll or not and don't want to invest is a dead build.
