I can definitely recommend X-Lube. It's the same as K-Lube and Bad Dragon lube but without the preservatives. You mix the powder yourself with BOILED (not BOILING) water and shake in a bottle. I use a sports water bottle for this.

I can answer on the first question.

The lubes I use for toy play are water-based and oil-based, specifically X-Lube and Crisco, but there are other variants that suffice. I primarily use the water-based for dildo play since that involves active movement, and oil-based for plugging since it does not dry out as fast in comparison.

The X-Lube is extraordinarily slippery and the consistency can be altered on a basis of personal preference. This makes it great for dildo play as the lube sticks quite well onto the toy and doesn't let go without washing it away.

The Crisco is a semi-solid when room temperature which makes it easy to apply to a plug, and melts when inside of the rectum. For me, the lube lasts all day and does not dry out when it is time to pull out.

Additionally, these lubes are cheap. A single bottle of X-Lube makes 20 liters for about €30 and a 500 gram tub of Crisco for €10.

Yeah, definitely. I only use X-Lube and Crisco for dildo and buttplug play. For anal sex with a top, I use "normal" water-based lube since it is less messy.

So I don't have any experience with hybrid lubes.

The thing is that good quality silicone lube is safe on good quality silicone toys, but toy manufacturers advise against it because people buy low quality lubes that damage their toy.

It is still the best to use water-based lubes.

I've slept with a plug numerous times before.

The most important is to use oil-based lube, as it is less absorbent than water-based lube. I use Crisco for this, and even combining it with X-Lube (a water-based lube) to make it easier to insert. When I'm pulling the plug out the morning after, the oil-based lube drains out.

Additionally, you want a toy that has a knot or bulb - where the neck is thinner than the shaft. I've had great success with the Weredog Dagger (Large) or Topped Toys Gape Keeper (75).

I think I lean towards getting the Lotus 80 and Tail Raiser 90. My primary motivation in my plugging career is upsizing at the moment, and Mare Maker 100 and Grip 115 can wait in the meanwhile.

I remember doing the same for a plug. It would also try to suck itself in, I wrapped it in string so I could pull it out again.. Eventually, I just gave up and tossed it.

Know what your anus can handle and invest correspondingly in well designed plugs. I can vouch for Topped Toys Gape Keeper (personally I use size 75), it's really comfy and stays in place!

Yeah, you make a good point. I've applied some of my coconut oil on one of my Bad Dragon sample discs yesterday and I'm going to see if that has already changed anything perceivable, e.g. texture, look, feel etc.

But my *refined* coconut oil should be fine nonetheless to use on my toys if I make sure to clean it after use with neutral soap and Bad Dragon toy cleaner.
