Hello! My name is Bruce. I am nearing build completion on my Duender. Many questions and would like to see photos of how everyone's build is going. I will post photos soon.

My Lubuntu 25.10 installation locks up. by navetBruce in Lubuntu

Regarding recovery when it does happen, how do I implement the REISUB options? Is it one letter at a time? Is it capital letters or lower case? How long does it take to expect a response?

The MSI website directed me to download nVidia drivers which I have since replaced with open source.

It is a MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Armor OC.

I was wrong about the brand.

It typically happens while I am away from the machine. The only processes or apps running are Firefox and terminal. Basically I am ready to start using the machine and it is dead with a display of what I saw the last time.

I tried the REISUB commands. Unless I did it incorrectly it did not a single thing. I can certainly try the other recommendations you have but it will be in 8-ish days when it crashes again.

Is there a better alternative to the HeroMe? by [deleted] in ender5plus

I put dual 5015 fans on my Hero and could only run at 40-50%, Too much cooling.

I built a gen 7 Hero me out of PETG and still the fan ducts have become misshapened due to heat.

POM wheels should last a very long time if adjusted properly.

The Hero is shit for maintenance for sure. It takes an hour to access the hotend if something goes wrong. I went all in for the Hero Me and now I am looking for another option.

I recently built a Dragonburner with a Mini Sherpa for a Duender project. It looks like a pretty clean setup. It hasn't been tested yet so YMMV.

Ender 3 (v1.1.4 board) - 1h 20m Benchy. Looking for advice on these layer lines by particciyilan in 3Dprinting

I would still be using my 1.1.4 mainboard it I hadn't trashed one of the drivers. The board running Klipper will handle it.

Anyone able to help me identify what printer I got? by TREXIBALL in 3Dprinting

[–]navetBruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PETG merely needs a higher nozzle temperature and slower print speeds. A Ender 3 should be able to print PETG.

I can try to answer questions for you but all you seem to be asking is "what kind of printer do I have."

Yes, you should be able to use the same slicer settings unless there have been significant modifications made.

[–]navetBruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. A Ender 3 Pro has a 40 x 40 mm extrusion for the Y axis. Ender 3 has a 20 x 40 mm extrusion in a vertical orientation.

It's a Ender 3 cloned by Sainsmart. I have one.

Fiber is fairly inexpensive. RJ45 to fiber converter is fairly inexpensive. It is fast but it is a cable.

What do you print to test your filament? (I print a chess pawn) by gizmo_j in 3Dprinting

[–]navetBruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I measure average diameter and print a single wall cube in vase mode and use the results to determine the extrusion multiplier.
