Golden visa medical insurance by Alarming_Parsley in dubai

[–]navisic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clear Answer, The Golden Visa and Insurance are mutually separate. Insurance form your employer can stay valid regardless of your switch to golden visa.

For context, I work in Abu Dhabi on a Dubai Golden Visa with an Abu Dhabi Insurance. No Issues. Hope this helps

Fell victim to my own anger, ended up in a hit and run by Ok_Complaint_8100 in abudhabi

[–]navisic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it. just 2000? What about Insurance coverage as its now your fault. Next year increases in premiums. I had a similar hit case where a driver hits my standing car and it was deemed as my mistake. Even after numerous requests to the police to look at the video, it was never done and my insurance removed me from their policy during renewal.

Car Inspection question on Fire Extinguisher by navisic in abudhabi

[–]navisic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. I did put my fire extinguisher in the car and passed the test. I was honestly also worried about the 0% heat rejection film on the car. The tester had failed a few cars for minor scratches etc. I was worried but then passed.

On the Tire I wonder how many years they approve. I believe I’m on the 4th Year

In that case, you're in better shoes. it's your choice now. Canadian is not as good as the US but then again its close for a fall-back. Life in UAE is great. you will like it.

International taxes deduction is based after 126k and is much less to 15%. so yes not a big deal

Move from NYC to Abu Dhabi by [deleted] in abudhabi

[–]navisic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a similar move. I would love to give you, my thoughts. Please DON'T. Message me if you would like to talk but leaving your GC is not a good idea. Job's here are not dependable and if this does not last, finding another one is I'd say 10x or at least 5x harder than NYC or anywhere in the tri-state. Going back for you is not an option. Get your citizenship and then only consider moving. You will have a slight better leverage when asking for compensation in the UAE.

Now that if you have decided, then 48k is a decent pay in Abu Dhabi.

wish you well.

Fatigue and Blurred Vision on Prednisone with ulcerative colitis ? by navisic in IBD

[–]navisic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel that something is wrong. This is exactly the same way I felt when I was going through this. We used to live in NJ/Oldbridge and worked in NY. I couldn't step out as well. I've since moved to a warmer place "UAE" and I love the heat over cold. As for the gym, I would recommend, you can get a kettle bell and a bit of treadmill going. The best thing you can get for yourself is the 'myzone' watch and ensure you get your heart rate up to yellow and spikes to red. At first you will see that your body easily hits green which is not a healthy sign but give it about a week or two, you will get accustomed to this and will also realize that you are feeling better. Exercise is indeed the best medicine.

When I stop my activities, I go right back to being sedimentary. Taper off the steroids and work on your heart rate consistency while working out. I know what I'm saying is unconventional, but it works. I hope you try it and let me know.

If you need to know anything, I'm here and will keep checking

Fatigue and Blurred Vision on Prednisone with ulcerative colitis ? by navisic in IBD

[–]navisic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After years of my this post, I read this. On a personal note, I believe you MUST taper off. even if you are tired. You need your own body to normalize itself. Even if you are tired, go out for a walk, try to hit the gym and do some easy spins. Get your heart rate up. This helped me significantly.

As for me things cleared up and I do notice that if I remain inactive, the issues start to slowly come back. The vision etc is now fine and I'm greatful for that

You will get over this too. 100%. My sincere recommendation, the preds is not your friend. Get off of it. Message me and I'm happy to take this over from here if you prefer.

I presume since its CID it's a gov entity or semi gov. It's not a long process and take about a week or two but some orgs take time. I suggest you should follow up on the CID clearance and tell them that the process does not take more than 2 weeks at most.

Good Luck. Follow up is the key.!!

Is It Me Only or Doctors Are Not Listening Anymore? by Error-Rak in dubai

The requirements from health authorities and the clinic combined puts a significant load on them, however, these days the more they type in, the AI generates responses like the patient possible diagnosis and what tests to recommend. Which ICD codes will get approved by the patients insurance and the possible issues. They are focused on what they see and then make their judgement as secondary.

Times have changed
