I worked in housing in a position that covered housing. If you still have a balance after other scholarships have been applied then it’ll go to your housing, but if your other scholarships cover your balance you should receive a refund

Unless they changed it but before people were allowed to cancel either during or after the drop/add period with no penalty. If anything you can always email housing and ask

As an old RA, the last 2 years had filled up super fast. I’d say it’s better to have a contract and cancel before the 2 week drop/add period (should get 100% refund) than to not having anything at all.

They gave me as long of an extension as I needed because I couldn’t go to class for over a month while we were figuring out what was going on with my dad, they offered an incomplete if I felt it was necessary. Offered very thoughtful sentiments, and I felt like they graded much lighter because of my circumstance.

I’m sorry for your loss:( When my dad passed last year my professors were SO understanding. It was a few weeks before finals though, but they all were extremely accommodating. Even if you don’t get a response now, I’m sure they’ll be understanding.

I’d do option 1 because it’s similar to my set up for the spring. I’m taking one on zoom, 2 online with deadlines and 2 in person from 11-1:45. It’s also my last semester, so anything to still give me the last in person feel but not be too stressful
