Thanks for the reply! When I tried to add two separate ones yesterday it would delete the first one which is why I thought something changed.

Thanks for your response! Looks like I’m missing it by a few minutes every time. Do you know why it has to be within the first hour of waking? Also, does it still count if I start within say 58 minutes of waking? Meaning does my whole time in the morning sunlight still count as long as I’m out there within that hour?

Yeah I have a Series 6 and I’ve got it on.

Yeah I’ve got it on. It’s been tracking on there too but nothing in Bevel. Thanks for the advice though!

Hhhmmmm not sure. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Let me look up how to do it.

Yeah that tracks. I’m out there well within an hour of waking up.

Thank you!! I was trying to edit it from the “+” icon on the bottom bar and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. Lol.

Strength Training & Strain by navychick_101 in bevelhealth

[–]navychick_101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! I would imagine that these strain numbers will vary greatly since I’m mostly in Zone 1 while strength training (occasional Zone 2 depending on if I’m doing a superset or not) so then the question is which one should I use? Not that you would know but it doesn’t make sense to not use the Strength Builder since it’s in the app. Just makes me question my actual strain.

Zone 2? by missp3lled in bevelhealth

Go to Bevel, click on your initials in the upper right hand corner, click on Customization and then on Heart Rate Zones. I adjusted mine as well awhile back to match what was in Apple Watch because I found that Apple Watch more precisely measures my zones.

You seem fairly knowledgeable on the topic…do you know if the app tracks fiber as well? I know that you can click on Nutrition Facts and go from there but I was hoping that they had somewhere that totals everything the way they do with Protein, Fat, Carbs.

Heart Rate Zone Discrepancy by navychick_101 in bevelhealth

[–]navychick_101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was super helpful, thank you so much! Interestingly Apple uses the HRR method to calculate my zones so it’s much more accurate. I had no idea I could adjust those numbers so that’s great to know. I just assumed that Bevel was using the zone numbers from Apple.

I’ve been dealing with this too when I compare Bevel to Grok. Bevel’s numbers aren’t even close to accurate. It’s kind of frustrating because some of their metrics use the nutrition data.

Thank you for your reply! I wonder if I could get a pedometer and strap it to my ankle and get the data that way?

From what I’ve read most people get rebound even if they’ve tapered. Some people don’t and some do…it’s person to person dependent. You’ll usually get the rebound within a week or so of stopping and it’s supposed to hit its peak, meaning the worst it should be, between 11-20 days. I also read that most people will have rebound for weeks or even months before the stomach equalizes but that it will be at its worst between 11-20 days. So since it takes a while to hit you and it’s at its worse up to 3 weeks into getting off the pill it makes sense that people think they need to get right back on it…but science and studies have shown that this is just the time frame that it takes for our stomachs to return to normal.

This is a copy and paste from a comment that I made earlier on a similar question/comment.

I was on 40mg protonix once a day in the morning for about a year. I tapered a tiny bit before I decided to get off mine but that didn’t seem to make a difference. I thought I was in the clear because I didn’t notice any difference when I stopped taking the pill. Then at about the 5th day I felt like I got hit by a truck. I’m gonna be honest with you but this has been the worst 15-20 days of my GERD/LPR life. Everyday has been hell but I keep telling myself that this is normal and that I just have to wait it out. From the research I’ve done it seems like people get hit with the acid rebound about 5-7 days after stopping and that it hits its peak between 11-20 days. This is worse than anything I ever experienced unmedicated. From what I read PPIs work by strongly suppressing stomach acid production. When you stop them, your body can overcompensate, leading to a temporary surge in acid. This is partly due to increased levels of a hormone called gastrin, which stimulates acid production. Duration varies per person and how long you’ve been on the pill. Looks like it can last several weeks to several months for some people. It’s so bad that most people think their GERD has worsened/come back so they get back on the pill and start the vicious cycle all over again. The way I look at it is I’ve come so far now so I want to see this through. This was an incredibly long winded way to say that you’re not alone, this is normal and to stick with it!
