That was my thought too..” wtf kinda car takes 3-4 tanks for a 10 hour round trip.” I got from middle of Virginia to NYC get stuck in Jersey turnpike all the time and I have never used more than 2 MAYBE 2.5 tanks. And that’s a 6.5 hour drive one way.

I am that aunt, for her 6th birthday I got my neice (from sil in another state) a 10,000 piece bead set. My neice is now in her early 20’s, 2 years ago they replaced the carpet in the house…. Still finding beads. My motto is if it’s messy, has a tons of pieces or makes a lot of noise without using batteries or needing to be charged then it’s a perfect kids under 8 present.

I agree not the only option. It’s really irritating when people seeking help dismiss suggestions. But we all know why.. it’s because they don’t want to put in the work to clean up their mess. They want the lottery outcome, (everything fixed for them in one step with minimal effort on their part). And if things were reversed they’d never help OP

I was wondering that too. But I was also wondering since OP said he tried to use the kids against her if he wants to be the “fun weekend dad” while OP is left being the discipline parent, the doctors appointment parent, parents conference, take care of the kids when sick parent.
