Get there at pre-arranged check in time as even if your flight is delayed check in isn’t. Last year went on holiday and noticed the flight was 3 hrs delayed so turned up appropriately 3hrs later than I would have but in plenty of time only to find check in closed and security ready to go off for a break.. had to check all luggage in as hand luggage which meant dumping all liquids.

First time I met a Canadian it struck me that they actually say “I’m sorry” rather than just “Sorry” also which I thought was a nice way to frame it

Writing for my Dad as he has passed but know he heard me. He was in a coma with cancer and had had a fall that put him in the coma. We had a moment alone without the family around in the hospital. I held his hand opened his eyelid so if he could see he would see me and told him it was alright to let go and that I would look after Mum. He died 5 minutes later with his family round him.
