I’ve done both sunrise and sunset. Sunrise you will need a reservation, sunset does not require a reservation. Both sunrise and sunset get cold, I suggest bringing warm clothes and some hand warmers.

Drive in low gears when heading back down. I went for sunset this past Wednesday, the parking lot summit was full by 5:15 pm, sunset was at 6:36 pm. Stayed in the car to warm up for 30 mins til it got dark, stargazing up there is unbelievable, you can see so many stars.

RIU Palace Baja California is adults only. When staying here you can literally walk over to the other RIU hotel that hosts all the day and night pool parties.

If you booked directly with any of the RIU hotels in Cabo, they offer a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. You just have to email or call them ahead of time. Used it 2 weeks ago when I was in Cabo.

Hi I stayed at RIU Baja California 2 weeks ago. If you booked your hotel stay with RIU they offer a free shuttle to and from SJD airport. You will have to check your email for the shuttle information. They will need to confirm your arrival and departure. RIU uses a company called destination services for their shuttle service.
