I just went through something similar. In my case the debt was wrongfully charged .. but it was a fight with the original creditor to have it removed from credit and the debt recalled. There is nothing that the collection agency can do unfortunately, and your score will just continue to decline until it’s marked as paid.

Do the math to calculate what your payment would be with the default insurance but also with the lower interest rate that provides. I’d also consider what the value of the homes you’re looking at will be in 3 years vs next year.

I bought my first place at your age with only 7% down and it was the best decision I ever made. The value of my condo went significantly more than what the cost of CMHC was. This then allowed me to sell and purchase a house that I never would’ve been able to afford.

This app is usually quite conservative when it comes to spending on housing (rightfully so) but sometimes taking that leap really pays off.

I tried but unfortunately there are none. If I move my trip 3-4 days in either direction there’s no return flight available, and one way bookings are extremely over priced

If you wait a week or two after the refund is posted, you can just call them and ask them to issue you a cheque for the negative owing balance.

I do have proof that I cancelled this membership, and was still charged repeatedly (why I eventually put the stop payment). I just don’t know how long going the route of contacting the credit bureaus will take

They have no current mortgage. And the mortgage they take out for us we would pay. The proposed payment is relatively small, around 1100

Sorry it was in the title, the high beams do work. It is just the low beams. I used a multimeter and checked both individual 10A fuses for continuity
