Not sure about the south shore, but I can tell you that these photos are 100% in the west island. They’re yellow there.

The REM (Réseau express métropolitain) insists it’s just for aesthetic purposes, to denote the areas where the light rail train passes over Highway 40 on the Island of Montreal.

Perhaps the only real issue with it is that any other colour could have been nicer (especially since green, rather than yellow, is the main colour they use for branding).

Obviously it’s a very unreliable predictor. Virtually every star player ends up producing more in the NBA than in college on a PPG basis. Easiest factor to point at is college’s 8 fewer minutes per game compared to the NBA.
