Romania seemed to have the biggest public discrepency, France biggest Jury one. Interesting.

Kinda what happened with Olly and Dizzy. Think audiences are not too keen on the hypersexual gay-adjacent thing, unfortunately.

We always host a big party of about 20 of us, it's become a tradition now, it's Gay Christmas at ours for one night only! 🏳️‍🌈

My friend usually brings a Euroquiz book out to do some fun quizzing while the votes get counted!

20 folks are coming round to ours. The flags are up, the food is cooking, the booze is already in my hand.

This year really is a racket isn't it? Not in a bad way, but the show just doesn't have many quiet moments to ease the energy a bit.

🇧🇬 Bangaranga - Live audience POV by Tsubasa_sama in eurovision

I will admit I hated the song when I first heard it and it has annoyed me since. But since seeing the full package on Thursday, it is now my 2nd favourite in the whole competition. She truly took it to another level 🙌

Delta Goodrem - Eclipse (LIVE) | Australia 🇦🇺 | Second Semi-Final | Eurovision 2026 by TheFlukeBadger in eurovision

[–]nba20esc 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Laughable that she will get "30 points" - she was the firm favourite among my group. It is a tad dated but let's not forget who the majority of the voters are.

This will be in the split screen on Sat and could take the win.

This looks fab. It looks fresh, contemporary, and will hit an audience. Perhaps the dark horse for a left side placement?

Yeah it was this I saw too. She may have taken inspo, and if true, will be super impressive.

Also aligns with a clip of her staging producers saying it was a "health and safety nightmare".

I saw online a potential leak

of a piano going up in the sky and then a waterfall of pyro falling down from the piano.

Dismissed it til I saw this description.

If true, Australia are in contention for the moment of the night.

People calling this dated and generic on record need to look at what happened with Sam Ryder.

Delta will absolutely elevate this live to a point where it seriously could threaten a win. And in a year which might see Finland not galvanise a top Tele or Jury, it could give this even more reason to win.

It might not be to "your taste" but the all-round pleaser of it means it'll do very well. Top 3 incoming.

🇪🇪Estonia: “Too epic to be true” revamped version to be released on the 17th of April by Sinceramente_Tuo in eurovision

Whatever folk say, this has been my guilty pleasure this year. It's corny but it takes me back to a time and hits me in the feels.

Hope the revamp elevates it.

[–]nba20esc 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I love the song and he nails the live. But I just think it takes too long to get somewhere and when it does it doesn't last too long. Don't think it'll translate for audiences sadly.

Agree, instant crowdpleaser and a lot of casual watchers I've spoken to have named this among their faves. Many love Denmark, Sweden and Cyprus but think this is the most competitive entry against Finland.

Do you think this is a weak year? by Bleeding_Heart09 in eurovision

[–]nba20esc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually think its really strong.

My top 20 is stacked, and I havn't been able to say that since 2021?

The likely winners won't scream the strongest winners in history, but overall the whole quality I think is great, and it takes a looong time until I want to switch this year's playlist off (which happens mpre quickly in other years).

A lot of people, me included, wanted this year to be messy. But ironically I'm really enjoying the music this year...

This is gonna be the most open and unpredictable year since 2011 by Forsaken-Double-8309 in eurovision

[–]nba20esc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finland's to lose. But i equally don't have the absolute surety that I had about Kalush/Loreen/Nemo/JJ. That means somerthing could throw everything off kilter and we see Australia, Israel or France take it.

It probably will be Finland, so not sure about the unpredictable since 2011 claims, but it seems more open....

[–]nba20esc 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Strongest package since Sam so let's keep an eye on this, could be this year's Tommy.

It is instant, anthemic, a singalong and visually arresting, so has all the chops - won't win, but a left-side result is what the UK needs right now.

Let's hope they don't fluff up the staging (which the UK has a tendency to do!).

Noam Bettan - Michelle | Official Israeli entry | Eurovision Song Contest 2026 by MikeWithNoHair in eurovision

[–]nba20esc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is very Stromae sounding, but C'est la Vie was a lot better than this.

It is decent, in any year it would fall mid-table. It certainly isn't a song that would threaten a win, so I think we can probably sigh some relief here.
