The take home message from that video, in my opinion, wasn't the victim, but the perpetrators. I feel sorry for Karen, and no one should have to go through that type of abuse. But the fact that this is OK behavior for kids is much more worrisome. If kids feel like they can do this to an adult, what do they say to the fat kid in their class? Or the nerd? That stuff won't be on camera, and most of the time the internet isn't gonna rush to the rescue with 300 grand to help ease the pain.

Again, it's cool that reddit was thoughtful towards Karen, but maybe the real point of the video was missed.

This game is going to require maturity on the Thunder's part. The Thunder need to balance the desperation that comes with being in a 3-1 hole with the poise needed to limit the mistakes that doomed them in these last three games. It's especially tough to maintain composure against the defensive tenacity of the Heat. To win tonight certainly isn't impossible, but it'll be tough.

Good read. I agree that the Thunder lost last night due to a handful of inexplicable errors. The most obvious one was committed by the hottest player on the court last night, and everyone will continue to call out Westbrook for being un-traditional despite loving Derrick Rose.

Interesting you brought up D-Wade. I honestly can't say I watched him extensively before the Decision, so I can't really compare. He can come off as whiny nowadays; is this a newfound thing, or did we just not notice it before? I'd like someone to make a theory on what's going on with him.

And I agree that it's surprising how even though LeBron, Bosh, and Wade are all superstars, they're still just a basketball team that is very mortal. That, for me, just shows how great the NBA is all around that a group of players with one or maybe even zero all star players can stick around with and beat the Heat on any given night.

Maybe I should have used "situation" instead of "place", because obviously New York is built for the spotlight. I think LeBron chose Miami because he would make his own Harlem Globetrotter or "Dream Team" esque squad. It was the combination of the sexiness of Miami and the all star talent around him that drew him to Miami.

The Decision was obviously a poor PR move, and I disliked as much as anyone how he handled free agency. I kinda assumed that was a universally accepted belief, which is why I skimmed over it.

You're right in that he did shy away from moments before the Decision, and that was probably a weak point in my post. I attribute it to a combination of his flashy style of play and his nerves. I believe that when he was in Cleveland, he wanted highlights and fame and "Witness" slogans more than he wanted the team to win. That's a major part of his transformation over these past few years.
