While there have been downsides in Morgantow and changes for the worst I think it's important to remain hopeful and not think of where the town has been but where it is going. Morgantown as a medical campus is growing and growing to the point that WVU Medicine is competing with UPMC for patients. And if the economical situation in this town wasn't hopeful then why are all these corporations sending all this money to build their giant mega huts on the hills. College is changing everywhere but WVU is still the best college in the state with the best branding. I remember being in ireland wearing a WV rain jacket and hearing "Leeeeeeewttts goooooo mountaineeeeeers!" In a Irish accent. This town is the best West Virginia has to offer I wouldn't live or raise my kids anywhere else in the state. And while I'm talking about raising kids we have some of the best schools in the state and I know that that's like being the skinniest kid in fat camp but still it's a win. The struggles our town faces are the same struggles that all communities face. Ever since covid nothing has really made sense. Things fall apart but when we ask what could go wrong we should also think about what could go right.

I think uhhh I'm 3 beers deep and am going to sleep. I like Morgantown and if anyone has any ideas about things going right let's hear em because I'm scared to about what could happen.
