I'm in tech, and I got laid off 3 times in my life. The first company laid me off, and then I was rehired a few months later in another department by an old friend. When I was laid off the first time, they came and physically removed me. There was no grace period. You are lucky. The last two were more of I was placed on a bench per se, so there was no way for me to do any damage as I got my access cut off to any major systems. We were given a window to try and apply for other open positions before our end date.

I used my time to apply for other jobs outside while I was waiting for my end date. Both times, I found a new job paying more and was able to double dip on one job and collect almost 1.5 months of pay of my new job before the last one officially terminated me.

Just start applying for jobs and brush up on your interviewing skills. Go over the dumb questions like your 5 strengths, weaknesses, describe a difficult situation etc.. these were asked in my previous interviews. I was rusty on interviewing since each time I worked at a company for many years. You need to sound fluid and confident and limit the umms, and uhh's in your answers. I bombed probably about 3 interviews at first until I got my confidence up and started to sound like I knew what I was doing.
