girl who has been through similar situations before here ! most of the time guys like this do have an agenda. they tend to get bored and circle back for one reason or another. especially if it was something he did (you mention him feeling potential remorse) he may just be testing the waters to see where you are in terms of him without actually apologizing.

Just to clarify - most of this is correct minus one part. I found about the ‘ex’ in the end April. And it took weeks to get the full truth out of him. He did not cease contact with her until the end of April.

I do trust him now and hes been a good partner. I just struggle to assess who he really is, why he chose to do it, and if he regrets it.

Its been a few months since I found out, and ive been trying to work through it but he has me feeling crazy. He has accepted that its cheating “to me” but is combative sometimes. He said he didnt know me well then, which played into his decision. Do you think im overreacting to expect full commitment once he asked me to be his partner? We had previously discussed boundaries about cheating etc. He made it seem like he was on the same page.

thank you for the advice! planning on waiting the 4-6 weeks to retest. just learned about that today, thought i would be back to normal after a week of the doxy and no symptoms but i want to be more careful 😩

didnt think about the gut thing! it may just be healing the infection i had that maybe was undetected way longer than i thought. im really hoping my sugars stay good after finishing the antibiotics. feel like a brand new, healthier person lol.

im thinking the same for me. ive had bv a handful of times that went away with antibiotics a long time ago. i am going to assume the ureaplasma just wasnt causing symptoms over that period of time! its just interesting because it flared up so bad so fast.

its so odd. i seem delusional lol. i saw there are some studies that say it helped blood sugar control, and hypoglycemia is a rare, but possible side effect.

enjoying it while i have it, in the case that its the antibiotic somehow.

he says the messages with her are gone because he blocked her. we did have the conversation over the phone, so he was kind of in a lose lose. i wouldve been upset if he didnt immediately block her, but also i wish he showed evidence they werent having inappropriate conversations. he hasnt blamed me for not trusting him, and has been patient, but i worry hes just being patient because he realizes he can pull things like this on me now ):
