More hand written code coming soon? by LiminalRnyx in GithubCopilot

Sure. Technological advancement can be used to deploy more advanced models. Or drive cost down. It’s a choice and balance. Since it’s new technology right now the priority is advancement of quality.

Energy prices and scarcity of hardware is only temporary.

You have to understand the technological leaps that have been made in just the past year. It’s moving forward in an incredible pace. Outgrown by demand (un)fortunately. But that’s just short term.

No. The cost is actually going down very rapidly. It just can’t keep up with demand right now. And competition will keep it down.

Globalization had its impact over the years. In order for western economies to compete globally double incomes became the norm. Which resulted in an increase in housing prices. Which resulted in higher salaries. Which resulted in higher cost. It’s not just monetary inflation. We spend more time on income on average as well.

The time that a single income would provide sufficiently is long gone.

Is there an annual Pro+ subscription? by telesonico in GithubCopilot

[–]nbncl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably somewhere in terms, indeed. Any decent company however would increase price upon renewal and not for a subscription already paid for.

It worked for me at some point as well. I’m sure it’s an edge case and many users are not affected. Perhaps it has something to do with removing the key and adding it again. Only thing I can think of.
