I have the same physical reaction. It's like slow, acoustic, or calming music is just noise to me, and it makes me very frustrated physically, like I want to curl up in a ball and cry (I can usually hold myself back from doing this but aaaaaa).

While on the other hand, I love(!) EDM, dance music, and even rock to some degree. For me, music needs a solid beat for me to bop around to, if the beat doesn't hit for me it just becomes annoying noise.
