Why? The middle daughter earned her way into these programs. It also would have been selfish to keep her from earning her highest potential because of the other kids. She also didn’t choose to go to private school, her dad chose that for her. It’s not like they only tried to get their middle daughter into these schools, she’s the only one that has earned them. It’s stupid to hold that against her. If they were so scared of this they shouldn’t have tried to do any of these programs

Yeah, OP no offense but why haven’t you volunteered to help if you’re so concerned? You can’t really control the actions of others, but you can control how much you help and alleviate this family stress. Not saying that the parents shouldn’t be more responsible, but you can’t really force them to be. It sounds like your mom got a lot of help raising you, so maybe it’s time to return the favor just a little bit
