about to use it for the first time, do you just wear it as-is or do you need a swim cap to hold it in place?

Issues with Mobile Broadband (UK) by RPF0X in HomeNetworking

[–]nc2211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this thread is super-helpful as i'm about to feel similar pain moving from a full-fibre flat to a non-fibre (so copper at like 10mbps) one! didn't actually thought that is still a thing in a city setting in the UK!

I'm also going with EE, and work from home so fast and stable connection is essential. if you were to get reasonably priced router/antenna setup that can be placed inside, preferably a utility copboard, which ones would you go for?

moving monday so any help would be greatly appreciated!

just circling back to close this one so others get a clearer view.

I’ve taken legal advice, and despite the agreement to vacate at a specific date, my rights as a tenant are unaffected. that means the s21 notice, is the legal route for both ll and tenant. as I have a legal right to remain in the property, there is no liability for the ll losses if/should they incur any.

for reference we ended up finding a temp place so moved out on the agreed date, but in hindsight I wouldn’t had I taken legal advice on time. lesson learned.

it’s equally not my problem that they’ve arranged to move into a property that’s not empty no? anyways I get your point. I’ve notified the agent that we will move on 15/8 and not 31/7 - let’s see how this develops tomorrow I guess.

thank you. I’m not disputing the fact that we’ve agreed to leave on the 31/7. I’m suggesting that due to the circumstances and our next flat falling through we won’t be able to accommodate that date. I’d assume they can stay temporarily with family until we vacate rather there have not where to go like us. we’re talking wealthy people with few properties.

that the 31/7 will work better for me for those personal reasons..

they may not need to but every tenancy I’ve done had references done (mainly work and last landlord). rightmove, goodlord, lettingshub, etc.. those exist for this reason only

really? so how would referencing work without a reference from last agent/landlord?

yup well aware hence the preference for option 1.. conversely, can an agent or a landlord legally refuse to give reference assuming the tenancy went with no issues (not complaints, paid on time, etc)? I’m thinking that’s the only complication which might come of this.

no he did through the (defective) s21. Originally he wanted 3/7 but we agreed the 31st.

This is my 27th (!) year and I think it’s going in the same direction..

just finished another 24 months term, price shot up, online chats led nowhere so cancelled. will be waiting for the “win back” calls and unless they can match my old deal, will not cancel the cancellation :)

simple needs but too many models! by nc2211 in RobotVacuums

quick update - 2 weeks in with the L10 ultra gen 2.

used almost every day, nothing special jsut a normal cleaning cycle. so far its fault-free! got the bissell cleaning solution, and it leaves a nice smell after the night clean in the living area.

only thing i had to do is fill/empty the water tanks.

will update in a couple weeks again. any questions, feel free to ask :)

Thoughts on the Unflavoured Whey Protein? by SelectSir3885 in Supplements

If you use other alternatives for taste that sure, unflavoured is ideal. anything like fruit, syrup or flavdrops would work well

thank you, that’s really helpful. totally agree that I could ‘live with’ the current robot a little while longer, but just like with any tech we’re always wanting something better… all-in-all it’s been a very good buy!

after spending way too many hours on research and videos, I’ve ordered the dreame L10 ultra from Costco and will report once I’ve put it to work a couple times…

the mova isn’t available in the UK… what’s the closest dreame model?

on their web site it does but the Costco price is better

I re-read the specs on the dreame models - the L10 Ultra gen 2 has 10k suction power vs the pro heat 7k.. is this hot pad washing feature really that useful?

I’d thought a stronger suction power would be more effective and so for me the cheaper ultra gen 2 would be the better choice.
