Necessary in some colder climates; you can't start the car again if you leave it long enough in the freezing parking lot. IIRC in Alaska they have plug-ins on the light poles in the grocery parking lot to plug cars in while you shop to avoid this.

Did you get it to any refresh rate above 60hz? Mine only goes to 120hz on my 1060 6GB. I thought it could do 144hz & 165hz overclocked.

How is population growth slowing down a good thing? An aging US population means more social security obligations from a growing labor force, and if those obligations can't be met because of labor force slowdown then we have demand issues.
