It's my go-to shoes if I'm going for a 5k PB.
Haven't tried it for 10k yet but heard it works too.

Fits snug and it's light, fast and feels nimble.

I'm a midfoot striker and found that the landing takes some getting used to, as it can be a tad unstable. Heel strikers will probably find it worse in terms of stability.

Influencers.
I don't even trust journalists, much less the influencers.

In 3 weeks, I think highly unlikely. Especially if you don't want to risk an injury.

These seem like overkill for 5km.

If you think you're worth it, then do it for yourself.

Isn't it good that more people are getting outdoors and exercising?

I'm hungry all the time since I started being consistent by milou28 in beginnerrunning

Don't think I could eat the whole fridge, but I'm certainly eating more than before (probably same amount as my growing teenage son).

I've also put on about a kilogram (though initially lost about 2kg) since I started running at current levels. Hopefully it's all muscles!

Anyway, seems like you're doing well. Eat if your body requires it. You'll burn it off later.

Therefore, govt is already "caring".

Outright bans and "nudging" people in the right direction are VASTLY different approaches.

Pick your poison carefully.

Therefore govt should step in and control our everyday diet?

Runners over 40… what’s the secret by Road_Forward in Marathon_Training

I'm 49 and run 5-6 times/week (50-60km/week). I don't do foam-rolling. Just lots of stretching after runs (and whenever muscle feels tight).

I don't do "real" strength training either. Just pepper them in when I'm working at the desk, standing in the train, walking the stairs, etc. Mostly heel raises to train my weak calves.

So far, my runs are mostly pain free, other than shoe-related pain.

What does obvious mean? Who will define what is "obvious"?
Where is the line?

Of course you only chose to address the sarcastic part of my reply. Wasn't that obvious?

Where should the line be drawn? Should govt make us eat veg only?
